I'll jump in here, since I happened to discover this recently:

You can thumbs up / down using the right steering wheel controls:

Thumbs up = Press and hold Seek Forward >>|

Thumbs down = Press and hold Seek Back |<<

Source: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/pandora-for-sync-applink-sync

Traveler, that's good info, and thanks for the link too!   :)

I just got back in from a short drive, and I realized what I'm really requesting is a thumbs up/down icon, not just the functionality. The problem with the current set up is that it requires the user to look at their phone to ascertain the status of the current song playing (the thumb logos are bolded if an "up" or "down" has been selected). Since MFT doesn't display that info, there's no choice but to look at the phone, which of course is not optimal.

All that said, I really appreciate the degree of function Pandora has been given. And to a previous poster's question, I am using an iphone 5 plugged into the USB. I did not get album art through BT, only through the USB.

Again thanks for being here Rebecca. But here's another deleted item. I drove the wifes Cmax this morning and noticed the speed indication set point for the cruise control is gone also. All I have is the green clock dial indication. Kinda got used to it in the FFH. Also is there a way to stop the horn from beeping when I leave the car on to go open the door for my aunt? Its annoying and isn't nice on the neighbors at night.

One thing area I have almost gotten into serious trouble a couple of times is the little blindspot mirrors on the side mirrors.  They really just don't stand out enough for me.

I wonder if through a software upgrade if the proximity sensors for parking and hatch would be able to tell you if there is a car next to you in your blindspot.  I have seen other cars do this and really like it.

Either that or improve the side mirrors to be more obvious for the blindspots.

Hi camelot and zalusky,

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm happy to pass along the horn beeping and blind spot suggestions. Just send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info, and I'll document your ideas. If you prefer, you can also head to Ford Social, and post your suggestion there. :)

I am satisfied with my mileage so far and it is what I expected after reading of others experience.  However, the dash mileage is not what I calculate.  I calculate each tank of gas by miles driven on the tank and gas used.  The display reads around 2 mpg higher than actual.  The problem is this.  When I check the trip information display it shows how much gas used on the tank and it is less than what it takes to fill.  How is the gas usage calculated by the car?  Why does it always read about a gallon or so less than what it actually takes to fill?  Is this a systemic problem and is it correctable by software changes?

Improve the CMax? Your thoughts...

This thread has 7 pages of member contributions on what us real owners think could be improved in the Ford CMax. Kudos to everyone who participated.

Plus - it saves Ford Motor from spending more cashola on market research...(as much as I and others here enjoy doing them).

Hey everyone!

I'd like to take a moment to let you know we have another IVT agent that will be helping out on the forum. Her name is Kim, and she's awesome! :)

Going forward, if you send a private message or one of us asked you to send information, please be sure to provide as much info as possible or the link to the thread. This will ensure a quicker turnaround time.

Have a great day!

Rebecca

The error in early production cars was smaller.  After everyone complained so much about poor mileage, one of the software "Upgrades" increased the error so your displayed mpgs would look better.  As long as you never calculated fill up to fill up mileage you were happier.

If this is true,  (and I do not necessarily doubt that it is) someone should be charges under a Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

My dash display MPG is consistently 7% higher than the fill up to fill up mileage.  This is not an accident, in my opinion.

The consistency indicates that the display is repeatable, just offset a bit to make us owners feel better. If it were just variations in top off, etc. the discrepancy would sometimes go the other way.  The dash display has always shown better MPGs in every one of my 88 fill ups.

New owner here of a used 2013 C-Max.  I registered on Owner.Ford.Com and downloaded the latest Sync update and have successfully installed it  :)  (only one hickup requiring a re-download as the first one may have been corrupted).  I have tried to upload the file created by the install process to update the profile for my car, but the upload fails (tried using MS Explorer and Firefox).  Is there a work-a-round or is there something I am missing?

thanks

Hey Louder North,

How did it go? Were you able to get the installation completed? Let me know. I'm happy to help.

Whitney

Whitney:   The installation of the Sync update went fine.  It was updating (confirming) the Sync update on owner.ford.com that failed. I've tried all three browsers and MS IE gets me the furthest in the process but the upload does not go through (unresponsive after I click the 'upload log file and finish' button - nothing happens after that).

Hey Louder North,

Have you tried running a Vehicle Health Report? If not, give it a try:

http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/vehicle-health-and-performance/how-to-run-a-vehicle-health-report-with-sync-with-myford-touch.html?sync=my-ford-touch

If that doesn't work, the next time you go to your dealership for scheduled maintenance, you can have them read the module and report the install back to us.

Can't do a Vehicle Health Report Rebecca.  I live in the wrong country!  See below.  Guess it will have to wait until the next service interval.

Vehicle Health Report is not available for your vehicle.

Vehicle Health Report varies by trim level and model year and is available in certain SYNC-equipped vehicles purchased in the United States. If you are a US vehicle owner and feel that you have received this message in error, please contact the Customer Relationship Center
