  1. Hey everyone, SnowStorm is correct. I wanted to know what version Redshift currently had installed. The link I posted is supposed to take you to screen to sign into your Owner account. Once signed in, you'll be directed to the software update page. It has nothing to do with model years. For some reason the link I originally posted isn't working correctly and it takes you to a sitemap page. On that page you do not see anything lower than 2016 because it's referring to current vehicles in production to purchase. It's a marketing page; not for support. You can access the software update page by selecting SYNC & VEHICLE FEATURES then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES. Our SYNC support site has articles to assist all systems: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos.html?category=sync If you're signed in, the articles will automatically contour to your vehicle. If you're not signed in, you'll have the option to choose year (2007+), model, and SYNC version. To answer the question about 3.8. That version was removed from accounts due to issues with the self-installation process. Because of this, no one is able to download 3.8 from their Owner accounts. In most cases, you're able to have the update installed (at no cost to you) at the dealer under the 12M02 Customer Satisfaction Program. Shaay
  2. Redshift, I'm unable to speculate why older vehicles aren't showing up, because we still troubleshoot all systems. V3.8 is the most up to date software for the MyTouch system, but once an update is rolled out, you'll be notified in your account. Cara
  3. HeyFrank, Can you try the link again? I was able to access it without any issues: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Shaay
  4. Our engineering team is always working to improve SYNC. What version do you have now: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Shaay
  5. Did this start happening before or after the update? Also, have you tried a system reset: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/SYNC-3-Supplement-version-2_sycsy_EN-US_10_2015.pdf The instructions are on page 113. Anytime! I'll be here if anything else comes up. :) Hi Rick369, The USB port that joshg678 is referring to is for CarPlay. With iPhones, the app must be running to use AppLink: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/sync-3/applink/how-do-i-use-sync-applink-with-my-iphone.html Shaay
  6. Hi AZgman, Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, try clearing out your cookies and cache in Chrome. Get back to me when you get the chance. Thanks for clarifying. Ford has not officially released version 2.2. It sounds like you've downloaded the unofficial version floating around online. Unfortunately, if this issue is the result of updating, I will not be able to assist. When you try to access AppLink, are you connected to Android Auto? Shaay
  7. Hey everyone! A new update for SYNC 3 hasn't been officially released by Ford. Unfortunately, an actual release date hasn't been provided. Please keep an eye on your Owner account: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html It will be posted there once it's available. Thanks. When did you download the update, and what method was used to install? Hi Rick369, Congrats on the new vehicle! You're unable to access any of Ford's mobile apps (through AppLink) while CarPlay is enabled: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/sync-3/apple-carplay/sync-3-plus-apple-carplay-support.html FordPass and Accuweather are both compatible with iPhones. If you choose to use AppLink, you must disable Carplay. Shaay
  8. Hi jtespi, What software version are you running in the vehicle: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Let me know, so we can move forward. Shaay
  9. Hi Redshift, Our Owner site is not only for SYNC 3. Were you actually logged in: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/sign-in.html Also, it sounds like you were viewing an article that pertained to the SYNC 3 system only. You can change the vehicle year, model, and system. For example, this article is for the MyFord Touch system: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/settings/how-to-perform-a-master-reset.html If you don't change to your vehicle info, you'll see the notice that says THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO SYNC WITH MYFORD TOUCH. jestevens, Thanks for the feedback! Shaay
  10. Hi ArizonaEnergi, I'm glad to hear the issue corrected itself. Please reach out if you continue to experience issues. Shaay
  11. Hi toecutter3, The update is expected to make its debut by the end of the year. Keep an eye on the Owner site for details: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Shaay
  12. Hi CAcreeks, Plus 3 Golfer and raadsel are both correct! Version 3.8 was released last year; however, it was recently removed from accounts and is not available online at this time. A dealer can install the update, at no cost to you, under the 12M02 Customer Satisfaction Program. Shaay
  13. greencmax, Thank you for the information! Your SYNC is not eligible for CSP 12M02 because it is for MyTouch only. In this case, it is a good idea to follow the instructions of the dealer, but you can also wait to see if the issue occurs again. Joy
  14. Hi greencmax, I can look in to it for you. Can you tell me what is your SYNC version? It is listed here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html Joy
  15. Hi Jimmy Fett, Congrats on your purchase! Try a master reset: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/settings/how-to-perform-a-master-reset.html The reset will disassociate your vehicle from all MyFord Mobile accounts. When you log back into the app or site, you will be prompted to add a vehicle. If asked to retrieve historical data, select NO. Let me know if this helps. Shaay
  16. Anytime! Trying another computer was a great option. If you have any additional questions in the future, don't be shy. :) Hi scottwood2, raadsel is correct. The update has to be done on a USB. The SD card is only for navigation. It's explaining that you will need at least an A3 card to work with the latest software version. You can locate your navigation SD card in the center console to check. Shaay
  17. That's perfect, jvillerot14. Your vehicle is currently running version 3.8. Have you had the chance to confirm your successful update by uploading the .xml file: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/software-updates/how-to-report-a-successful-sync-installation.html Shaay
  18. Hi jvillerot14, I'd like to help! Can you go to the vehicle and check the CCPU S/W version? To check your software version: 1. Press the GEARS icon at the bottom of the screen.2. Select HELP on the left.3. Select SYSTEM INFORMATION in the middle.4. The CCPU will be listed on this screen. Get back to me when you get a chance. Shaay
  19. Hi Singoffpitch, I recommend trying a master reset: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/settings/how-to-perform-a-master-reset.html Let me know if this works! Shaay
  20. Hey RobMax, Perfect! I was going to suggest the AUX button. Glad you figured it out. :) My team handles SYNC questions and concerns only. Please reach out to my Ford Service counterparts for all other inquires by: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FordServiceUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/fordservice Phone: 1-800-392-FORD Shaay
  21. Do you see a MENU button, Rob? If you do, you should be able to press it to get into the SYNC -MEDIA menu. You'll want to do the following to get to USB: MENU > SYNC-MEDIA > OK > Down arrow to SELECT SOURCE > OK You should then see USB listed as a source. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Rebecca
  22. Unfortunately, Ron, I do believe this is a phone issue and not a SYNC issue. If you ever get a chance to test a different phone, let me know. Also, I'm still looking into your other questions, and I'll get back with you on that a little later today. Rebecca
  23. Thanks for confirming that, Louder North! Let's give local a try. That should store them directly onto your phone. Rebecca
  24. It's been a while since I've had a Blackberry, so please forgive me on my lack of knowledge. LOL! Basically, when you sync an email account, the phone automatically adds your email contacts to the phonebook, but they're not actually stored there. When you manually add a contact to your phonebook, does it ever ask you where you want to save it to: memory card, SIM card, device, cloud? Rebecca
