scottwood2
Any idea of when they announce the 2015 model? I here different things about what is changed for 2015. Some say nothing and others say minor body changes. i would think there will be some changes somewhere on the vehicle even if they are minor. How many weeks from the start of production until we start seeing them on the dealers lots?
maxed-out
There will no-doubt be some changes, but probably only very subtle ones. C-Max sales are very soft because gas prices in the US are stable and cheap by world standards. The bad publicity resulting from the two mileage downgrades hasn't helped any. Too bad Ford does not market a gas-engine non-hybrid version here in N. America as they do in Europe. Sales would be far higher. Usually two to four weeks before they start to show at dealers. Expect incentives on the 2015 model, right from the start. To be fair about that, Toyota has to offer incentives to move the Prius as well. Hybrids may be green, but they make little sense from an economic standpoint. Edited September 2, 2014 by maxed-out

LOL That is where most of the dead batteries happen. :) Paul

Old info in booklet or new rating? EPA-Estimated Ratings2.0L iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 HEV engine 45 city/40 hwy/43 combined mpg Likely the C-MAX Preview Guide brochure pre-dated the latest EPA estimate revision. The footnotes 3 and 4 following EPA Estimated Ratings sayBased on 2014 model year ratings. Actual mileage will vary. On June 12, 2014, Ford publicly identified an error in the formula and lowered EPA estimates (again), from 45 city/43 combined/40 highway to 42 city/40 combined/37 highwayhttps://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2014/06/12/ford-motor-company-lowers-fuel-economy-ratings--for-six-vehicles.html Edited September 3, 2014 by kostby

kostby
Probably old news by now: http://www.autoblog.com/2014/09/05/ford-c-max-spy-shots/ The fact that these are European left-hand-drive spy-shots is pretty obvious from the license plate, the signs on buildings in the background, EU tag on the windshield, the euro headlights (no orange front marker lights), two grille openings instead of three, the red (fog?) lights or reflectors on the lower rear fascia, apparent orange turn lights at the upper outside corners of the rear lights and backup lights apparently above rather than below the taillights. I never say 'never', but so it MIGHT be a 2016 or 2017 North American prototype, but I think its extremely unlikely that the current Ford grille motif 'inspired by Aston Martin' would go away on just one model immediately and remain on pretty much all the rest of the North American car lineup for 2015. vmmvmmm
The "more Aston Martin-like" grille is not going away, but it is what it is moving toward. If you look at the changes in the Fiesta and the Focus over the last year or so, you'll see what they mean. Additionally, the C-Max is one of Ford's global designs, so aside from some specific EU/UK items, the design will be exactly the same in all global regions.
