  1. OP here, thanks for all the feedback ! I currently drive a 2014 Focus and its great (except for the turning radius) so it sounds like I'd feel right at home in a C-Max
  2. Am considering a 2016, have heard the turning radius isn't great - I don't expect sports car handing but do need to get in my garage (smallish 1 car townhouse) - also the occasional U turn etc - how would you rate handling ?
  3. Autoreviewsdotcom (see link below) mentions the 1.0 EB gas motor might be used, is it possible ? http://www.automobilesreview.com/auto-news/ford-teases-new-c-max-family-range-ahead-of-reveal-on-september-17th/89741/
  4. In the past these live twitter chats are so lawered up about all you get are a bunch of softball questions (can't blame Ford, no telling who is lurking) - the entire 'conversation' usually ends up on Ford Social so you won't miss a thing, great PR move on Ford's part, link to follow but it may take a few days - usually some good Q&A so stay tuned !
  5. How is the (traction) battery temp after a longish drive in Texas (15 + miles) A/C ?
  6. Was thinking of the name Kaley (Kaley Cuoco (Penny on The Big Bang Theory)) gotta do something first, buy a C-Max !
  7. Would a trickle charger like this (see link) $ 26..99 model from Sears be good enough to get you going (fast, 5 or 10 minutes) can hassle with the dealer later for a fix (new battery & whatever else) ((don't want to be stuck, would this get me going ?)) http://www.sears.com/diehard-battery-charger-maintainer/p-02871219000P?sid=IDx01192011x000001&kpid=02871219000&kispla=02871219000P
  8. Wonder why and if SE's are more prone to battery failure than SEL's (that is what the poll indicates) more SE owners chimed in ? (would seem to me the SEL's would be more prone (isn't the push button start system 'looking' for its key 24 7)) ?
  9. Any news Ted, also any way for the end user (me) to tell if TSB 13-05-01 – 2013 C-Max, Fusion, MKZ – Hybrid And Energi – 12 Volt Battery Unable To Hold Charge - - - has been applied to a 2014 C-Max ?
  10. 78 degrees with a high fan setting with recurc on is fine for me (never auto) else 74 with lower fan speed (less MPG but its quieter)
  11. To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer. (did I just say that ?)

    Howdy from Texas

Saw my first Energi (a C-Max) on the freeway here in Houston today (on 290) - I need to get with it, no C-Max here of any kind (yet) ...
  13. Didn't mean to say there aren't crooks out there, try to use someone with a good reputation (could be Shell, Exxon, Kroger etc...) I try to use a local Raceway http://racewaypetroleum.com/
  14. Think the pano roof will help with resale value when the time comes ?
  15. Wow here in Tx the amount of alcohol (ethanol) and the overall amount of fuel dispensed (the gallons & tenths of gallons shown on the pump) better be pretty much spot on or else (guess Texas is more regulated than I though)
  16. Here (link) is some (not much) HF 35 info https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_vJ6zqdx0EqRF92eDZVMEZ3ckE/edit?usp=sharing
  17. Drive by the toyota truck plant there in the alamo city & wave (toy trucks can pass almost anything but a gas station)
  18. Heard there will be a S level trim (not that I want one, SE for me)) nothing new = small price increase I hope ...
  19. Just got a tweet from @FordService @FordService @rfruth The car (2013 Fusion hybrid, brake vacuum pump) only has power to it when the vehicle is running. The power is controlled by the ABS module using a relay. =) ^MS 03:02 PM - 01 Aug 13 hope the C-Max is the same (and hope this is true, anyone know more) ?
  20. Does the high voltage battery cooling fan run if needed after the car is shut off (sounds like a good thing) but couldn't this run down the 12v battery ?
