SPL Tech
So I know the CMAXes come with the standard radio, the MFT or the Sony MFT. What is the difference between the MFT and Sony MFT specifically? Also, do all Sony MFTs come with navigation? drdiesel1
The Sony system is paired with the Nav system. It has more speakers and more wattage output with 2 soundsettings. Driver or All seats. The center speaker on the dash makes a huge difference between these systems. Both my 2013 and 2014 C-Max NRG's had/have the Sony/Nav and that was the number 1 requirement for me.
bigalpha
IMO, the MFT upgrade is most useful for the better radio.
BIG ROCCO
We looked at a C-Max with the base radio - then ended up with one with the Sony system - it does sound a little better, but still not great, when listening to the Sirius radio. I think I have read that when playing CDs or MP3s through the USB port, the sound is much better, but I can't recall if that meant that, when playing CDs, the Sony system sounds a lot better than the base system playing CDs, or if CDs on the Sony system sound a lot better than the Sirius radio...or maybe CDs sound better than Sirius on both systems?
