aschofer
On my first visit to a Ford Dealer I noticed on the window sticker the various countries that sourced content for the C-Max. Does anyone have the information? How does it compare to the Toyota Prius?

rfruth
Most Toyota models are build here in the states but not the Prius (or the V), they are assembled in Japan using Japanese parts - where the money ends up is the important part (IMO) http://green.autoblog.com/2011/03/10/toyota-prius-v-wagon-production-japan/
aschofer
I agree. When my wife and I were discussing our next car, we decided it would be a hybrid first (or electric), and then only a car "made" in America. We wanted to invest our money in America putting Americans back to work. Our little contribution to economic stimulus.
Aptos Driver
The Camry hybrid is made in Kentucky, although the hybrid power trains come from Japan. Toyota claims the Camry has the highest domestic content of any car on the U.S. market. Ford has been building the Fusion hybrid in Hermosillo Mexico. Americans are not working on the factory floor there.
