stoomy
My 2013 cmax energi is stuck in the snow. I want to attach a couple ropes to the rear of the car and pull it with my F150 about 30 feet. I'm not sure where to attach the ropes. I've searched the owners manual, but it's not helpful. Thanks! SnowStorm
I can't help with the attach points but I got stuck yesterday and dropping the front tire pressures to about 20 psi made a huge difference. Not sure how low you could go. (Of course, don't forget to pump them back up!) obob
drdiesel1
Hook it to the sub frame and don't use rope. Use a recovery strap or you could damageone or both vehicles. Make sure no body is standing around between the vehicles either. Using a rope could result in something flying through a window or worse. fbov
As the gentlemen in DrD's video demonstrate by ommission, the thing that successfully frees cars stuck in snow is a shovel. As soon as they tried to pull (going wrong way) through/over the snow pile, from the wrong corner of the car, you knew they were going to get high-centered on a pile of really hard ice. The rest was predictable. My wife's car was stuck in our driveway. With yesteday's warm temps (almost hit freezing!), the snow was easy to remove from in front of the wheels and most of the ice came up as well. It took longer than it should, but for the same reason it was stuck in the first place; our plowing contractor is inept. I just hope your temps haven't tumbled yet... we're now 0F, not 0C Have fun,Frank
scottwood2
Just curious how much snow you tried to go through? Good luck.
