markd
If they don't want to change my oil until 10,000 miles and there's nothing wrong with my car, what is the check up for?
Adrian_L
Fluids check/top-up and multipoint inspection. I did get a complementary oil change at my first service and it was at 8,000 km (5,000 miles) And they rotated the tires. markd
markd
I'm going to take it in but when I called to make an appointment the guy said "he didn't understand why ford sends out letter when the C-Max first service should be at 10,000 miles. The entire conversation left me confused. And another thing, thank you Adrian_L. Edited February 24, 2015 by markd
jdbob
I thought the first oil change was sooner (my dealer said 5000 miles) in order to replace the break-in oil. And yes, it was free.
drdiesel1
The system is set to send out notifications based on standard ICE vehicles. This is why you get the 5Kservice reminders. Nobody setup the system to take hybrids into account. If they sent your a noticeand you want it done, I would force them to do it for free @ 5K ;)
SPL Tech
The oil change is not every 10k, it's whenever the computer displays a message indicating the need to change the fluid. The actual mileage depends on how you drive.
markd
I caved, I just can't see waiting a year before taking a new car in for service. drdiesel1
drdiesel1
I caved, I just can't see waiting a year before taking a new car in for service.I agree. I did my break-in oil change at 500 ICE miles and will change my oilat least twice a year with full synthetic 0W20 :love_shower: I like a clean enginethat has no oil leaks :victory: markd
torchredzo6
Is there a setting that allows me to see the mileage on the ICE specifically? I apologize if it is there but I haven't cone across it yet.
