Certified C-Max Hybrid Technician ?

Recommended Posts

Is there such a thing as a Ford certified C-Max technician?  Or perhaps a Ford certified hybrid electric vehicle technician?  If so, how would one find out which dealers employ them?

My local dealer does their best, but I'm beginning to think their best isn't sufficient (third incident since January's transmission replacement).

I would suggest checking for a FORD Electric Dealer(usually larger dealer and you can find them at FORD.com) and then talk to Service Writer to see if they have any experience with your problem. I got lucky with my Trans. I think part of being a Electric Dealer is having two charging stations.  :)

Thanks for the tip.  Come to find out my local dealer is an "Electric Certified Dealer."  I wonder what that really means.

I believe it means they have a hybrid/electric certified mechanic, as well as the necessary extra tools/computers needed to fix/upgrade them.

Can our Ford reps confirm or deny or clarify this please?

Please tell me it's more than that!

Back then to my original question: how does one find a dealer with a hybrid-qualified mechanic?

I'd go back to post #2. :)  You might ask for help from other members that are in your area.
