rfgrefe
Here one for the book. My wife came to her C-max 2013 after shopping, unlock the door, got in. nothing work, could not start the car, everything seem dead. however the tailgate work, the door lock work. She call me, I told her to place the FOB next to the steering Wheel, nothing. So I went to the car with My FOB, same thing, door locks works, tail gate work, nothing else. Call AAA, they came try to jump it, in case the battery was dead, nothing. So we had the car tow home. After AAA left I went to the car, and now all is good, everything is working. So my questions are:1) What happen2) Has this happen to anyone else?3) Is there a way to start the car without the FOB3) any options or suggest on what to do the next time. Thanks
homestead
Sounds like an intermittant problem in the circuit that detects the fob and starts the car.Probably difficult to diagnose & repair.
joshg678
Is there a spot to hold the fob when the fob battery is dead to get it to start?
