jestevens
I have the iPhone SE and an SEL with the SYNC2 MFT Display and it works with the last version of SYNC 2 they issued. it supports Bluetooth audio streaming from the phone and voice calls, built in texting though SYNC does NOT work, but CarPlay does work. e.g. If you hold the voice button on the steering wheel for a few seconds longer than usual Siri comes on if you have an internet connection and you can ask it if you have any new messages. The iPhone SE came out the same time as iPhone 6, I'd have to guess iPhone 7 probably works too but haven't tested it personally. At first I hated that SYNC couldn't integrate with messages because I really liked SYNC reading the messages to me but I guess I've gotten used to just ignoring texts while driving or asking Siri to read them to me if I'm expecting an important message. I try not to use the phone while driving anyway. Edited September 13, 2017 by jestevens ptjones

homestead
So I got my new iphone , Got a good deal on 6S Plus so I got that instead of 7 Plus.Seems to work fine except when I ask Siri to give voice directions. That only worksif I don't let my phone connect to sync. Connected to sync it gives the map and directionson the screen minus the voice directions. Is this what others are getting? jestevens
I can ask Siri to dial a number, or send a message, but if I ask Siri for directions all it says is "Getting Directions to.." and then it cuts off - I think it probably shows them on the phone but I can't see because I'm driving. Then it should give you turn-by-turn voice commands. But then all the other sync to phone commands won't work.
