dsbrooks05 Posted December 4, 2017 Report Share Posted December 4, 2017 Hey! I'm new to the forum. I just bought a used 2013 C-Max Hybrid SE. As with any used vehicle there are some things that need to be fixed. My first priority is fixing the driver seat - heated seat does not work. The passenger seat works fine, which I assume means it's not a blown fuse (unless there are separate fuses for each?). Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for? I checked under the seat and looks like everything is plugged in, however I'm no mechanic or electrical engineer, so what do I know. Thanks! cr08 Posted December 4, 2017 Report Share Posted December 4, 2017 Also since they are simple resistive heaters you can use a multimeter to check the resistance. If it shows as being open circuit that would mean a break in the heating elements somewhere. Thanks!Download the 2013 owner's manual and look at the fuse layouts and descriptions. djc Posted December 5, 2017 Report Share Posted December 5, 2017 All good suggestions here. Also if something plugs in but doesn't work, it never hurts to unplug it and then plug it back in. fbov Posted December 5, 2017 Report Share Posted December 5, 2017 FWIW, my driver's seat heater was serviced... but it failed right after the seat back recall was performed, so I assumed it was a simple connector.
