SnowStorm
Our 2013 SE (179k miles) now intermittently makes an abrupt "pop" sound when accelerating from a standstill after braking to a stop. It definitely seems to require a moderately abrupt start off and it can happen even if the ICE does not start. I don't think it has ever happened after coasting to a stop or braking very gently. It seems it started about a 1000 miles after having the transmission replaced, latch recall done, and rear brake rotors/pads replaced. No idea if its related to any of that work. It sounds like its under the car but hard to tell where. Any ideas or similar experiences?
homestead
Hopefully it is just something in the suspension, have them put it on a lift and inspect the undercarriage.
ptjones
I also have noticed a clunking sound when starting fairly quickly and when stopping at rear passenger side. I think it has something to do with the brakes, it showed up after having oil changed and tires rotated at Dealer. I tightened wheel nuts with no change. Don't think it is suspension, because it would be doing it all the time. :headscratch: Paul
JAZ
Possibly brake pads binding and releasing with a 'pop' when accelerating? stolenmoment
Bill-N
Possibly brake pads binding and releasing with a 'pop' when accelerating? That's my best guess, also.
rowekmr
Mines has a missing bushing on the rear spindle mount so the clunk when I hit brakes hard Is the metal to metal contact.
ptjones
I need to take the time to put mine on jack stands and look. Doesn't do it all the time. Paul
