homestead Posted November 21, 2019 Report Share Posted November 21, 2019 Got into drivers seat in my car today, did not start the car and sat there waiting for my wife to get in the car.Remembered that I forgot something in the house. As soon as I opened the door to go get itthe alarm started counting down on the dash and suggested I start the car. Started the carto avert the honking alarm. Is this normal operating for the car alarm? Tried to repeat it later in the day and couldn't get it to repeat.Seems like unlocking/opening the door with my fob in my pocket should have also disabled the alarm.
