No. The 3G shutdown won't affect the radio, navigation, or other in vehicle functions. What you are seeing is the common issue of the ACM (Audio Control Module, handles the AM/FM/Sirius tuners and audio routing to the speakers) freezing. Pull fuse 79 in the passenger side fuse box under the glove compartment for a minute or two to reset. A proper fix for this is to have your dealer update the ACM. Other Ford models have had TSBs for this same issue calling to update it as the proper fix.
