  1. One of my best trips. Took it nice and easy on the Highway around 65 mph with cruise. Still on 3.5.1, I haven't tried to update yet.
  2. Here is a trip with changing elevation, ECO cruise was set at 68 mph. Trip was from Boston Massachusetts to York Maine.

    Pen/Pencil Cups

I picked the medium size tumbler cups up at Target.
  4. I Did post the pictures after he mentioned proof.
  5. So I was driving all over New England this weekend doing 75 most the time do to time constraints. With the car loaded with 4 adults and gear at about 300 lbs I averaged 42 mpg. Easy math 400 miles @ 40 mpg * $4.00 gallon = $40 in gas. If we had taken the Murano @ 20 mpg = $80 in gas. I saved $40 in gas with the AC on since it's in the 90s this holiday weekend. Everyone was comfortable for the trip too. I couldn't be happier with the mpg, although going that fast was killing me on the inside, watching my tank average of 49 mpg dropping down once we hit the highway. He pics for one leg of the trip Laconia to Boston using Google tracks.
  6. If you are in neutral you do not have any regen at all. The reason we have to give it some gas downhill is to "bypass/disengage" the regen stage. The C-Max automatically regens when you let off the gas.
  7. You probably had semisynthetic oil, I don't believe Ford/Quicklane uses conventional 5W20 or 5W30 normally.
  8. Massachusetts lemon law is 3 dealership attempts and 1 Ford attempt. I hope they can fix my emission code so I don't have to do it either.
  9. Like - Power/handling Dislike - No factory tint option
  10. SDM, I usually rotate @ 10k every other oil change @ 5k on my vehicles with minimal issues. Doing a rotation @ 5k is probably recommended but I pay for it now (Oil changes and rotations). My justification is I expect 50k out of the tires. 10 rotations @ $25 = $250 5 rotations @ $25 = $125 So for me to save a $125 in 2 years on tires is worth it. Living in New England your end up getting tires early for the winter sometimes too. Not to mention the time you lose just for a rotation.
  11. Last I heard in Massachusetts they plan on upping the state tax $0.03 and track it with inflation.
  12. No issues so far other than a system maintenance message when getting it home. That was after phone and USB music drive install. My check engine light did come back on though for the P043E code, so it is scheduled to go back Tuesday... I did lose 3 mpg to that tank of gas for the service and update. 45 mpg is still better than 25 mpg, I wonder what my next loaner car is going to be. Hopefully Ford can help out the tech more, EVAP codes are a nightmare to chase down.
  13. I would love to pay $47. A usual oil change costs $35 (semisynthetic) and $25 for the tire rotation plus tax and waste disposal. It comes out to almost $70 when it's all said and done. The Quicklane service guys know me since I bring everything to them now and throw in a deal here and there. The fixed a flat for free in my Murano last week.
  14. Is it a full size spare and matching rim? If you rotate at 5k it won't matter where it goes, as long long as your taking the proper tire out of rotation. I wouldn't recommend 10k for a rotation if this is what you plan on doing. If you don't have a spare rim, it wouldn't be a cost effective approach to extend your tire life. I would save it and use it if needed. Then only by 3 new tires the next round.
  15. I have toasted a few passengers with the heated seats, laughing as I type this.
  16. I also have a 2009 Murano, she only drives about 10k a year. So far no issues yet and I rotate every 10k (every other oil change). The Murano just hit 50k. Although I use it occasionally, it always carries about 150-250 lbs in it (3 kids can load you up). SDM, it is a tough thing to narrow down so I think you are right in saying Ford recommended maintenance with the tire warranty, which I also have.
  17. I would go about renting a pickup from UHaul to tow when needed. I know it isn't the most convenient though. Towing would most likely void any motor, transmission and any other drivetrain issue that would arise since it is not rated. Although you could say the hitch is for a bike carrier only...
  18. SDM, were your SUVs independent rear suspension? Generally you need to rotate every oil change and replace the rear shocks/struts more often to avoid the cupping (feathered or high low spots on the outside edges). My belief is they (SUVs) are designed to have weight in the back, if you don't this issue seems to happen more often. I use to work at a repair shop and saw this all the time. Some station wagons/5 door vehicles, minivans and vehicles similar to the C-Max are more prone to this. My Highlander never had this issue, but I was carrying about 300 lbs of equipment. I only rotated the tire once at 6k and didn't do it again for 19k. One coworker carries the same amount of equipment with a Kia Forte 5 no issues. Another coworker owns a Saab 9-5 (no weight generally) with this issue. He replaced the struts and 10,000 miles later no issues. I carry the same equipment in the C-Max now, and will rotate my tires every 10k.
  19. I haven't drove it since I dropped it off for the update on Monday. I am picking it up tomorrow, the CEL was evap related. The tech needed to replace a pump. I will post the results when I finally get them. I miss my car, $60 worth of gas in 4 days while avg 25 mpg in this Impala.
  20. Dropped my car off Monday, 3.5.1 was done in 3 hrs. I talked to their only hybrid tech it only pays 1.4 hrs. Still no car though, since they had to contact Ford about my random Check Engine Light. It has been on and off twice in 2,500 miles. Hopefully I will get it back Wednesday, this loaner 2013 Chevy Impala is killing me...
  21. I wanted the Sony radio knowing upgrading the head unit is next to impossible. It is an SEL option, which has stuff I couldn't justify the cost like leather (I prefer cloth), park assist, panorama roof, kick lift gate and backup camera which would of been nice but not required. I went with the 203A and winter package. I just looked at what the dealerships had, didn't build one. They had plenty to choose from.
  22. Awesome, I think I'll be content with my 600ish tanks. Maybe once I hit 10k miles I might attempt a 700 mile tank. That should be around Sept or Oct time frame. Keep up the great work. What do you avg for yearly mileage? Keith
  23. Congrats on a buy a C-Max. This is mostly a non Energi forum. Will there is a will there is way... Adding extra batteries would be very cost prohibited. We lithium batteries which means any modifications need to be done by a certified company. I needed to by a new lithium battery for my test equipment, cost $800. Batteries Plus couldn't do anything because it is lithium. A solar array to recharge from my limited knowledge would need to be very large and very expensive also. In the end, it would be cheaper to plug in and buy gas when needed. The pay back would most likely never be seen on those investments.
  24. Hopefully you can tell by the pic. It has the anti fatigue nubs underneath. I think it was about $20. It was near the carpeting/tile area. Same section as the puzzle piece floor mats. It extends about 3/4 of the back seat when they are down.
