  1. We have both! My wife drives our 2010 V hatchback and I drive the Max. No comparison in driveability, fun and more car like feel that the Max gives. Yes, her mpg's are about 10% better! but that's it!
  2. I bought a very loaded SEL a couple of weeks ago and it had a fleet designation on it's paperwork. It had 10,300 miles and was absolutel like new. I would bet it was a Ford Fleet Demo since it was built in July, 2012. No doubt had a fabulous detail job done and I would think all kinds of updates done. I have no ptoblem buying one of these as it gets great care. I saved almost $7,000.00 of MSRP! I worked for a Toyota Dealership (still have a Prius) and know how corporate babied their fleet cars. We were their servicing dealer and I was in service. I did look it up and it needs the NAV upgrade and the one for the tailgate.
  3. New owner here. I bought a used C Max a week ago. it had a little over 10,000 miles on it. We also have a 2010 Prius and have had a 2008 Prius. Hybrid driving is a different type of driving for sure and even a difference between makes. Our '10 is doing about 51+ mpg now and wil rise another 2-4 mpg when the weather stays in the 80's+. The Max is doing approx. 43 mpg right now and I'm still learning how to handle it. It has much more torque than our Prius. I'm sure it has a heck of a lot more than the Prius V, which is more of a comparison. I look for this Max to hit close to Ford's EPA estimate, but it has to be driven as a hybrid should, with a little stealth and keeping your right foot out of the bucket. BTW, the winter plays hell with the Prius's mpg. It will go down to the mid forties when w're here in Ohio.
  4. I bought my SEL as a used car last week and saw this forum. We were having a very heavy rain today. BTW, I'm in Ohio part time and Florida as a snowbird. This was in Ohio, so not in Andrea's wake. I set the wipers on constant low, the headlights on auto and after a minute or less, the headlights came on. We continued our trip and later, before arriving at our destinatation, the rain had stopped. I shut off the wipers and a minute or less later the headlights shut off. I have to believe the "setting" worked proper. Thanks so much for this forum, it's helping me learn what the manual doesn't do...understand function. Fred
