This past January we traded in our 2013 C-Max SE with 95,000 for a 2016 C-Max SEL. Leather seats, backup cam, heated front seats really top of the line model. It had 4000 miles on it and had never been owned by anyone so it was sold as a brand new car to us with a full warranty. Total price included taxes was $21,000.00 and they gave us a generous $7000.00 for our 2013 model. I had the car totally checked and serviced at my local dealer and they said it is in perfect condition. The only sad part here is the C-Max won't be available the next time we get a new car!

I'm about to buy a 2016 top of the line SEL with low mileage for under $20,000. Best deal as far as cars go and a good time to buy because Hybrid sales are down due to gas prices.

I tried to add a backup camera but it wasn't all that cheap. The camera itself was cheap but it couldn't just be plugged into existing system (I have the Nvagation package). It required the purchase of another unit costing over $300.

In all the mail I'm receiving from Ford advertising new cars the C-max is missing! Today another card arrived listing Focus, Escape etc but no C-Max. This is leading me to believe Ford may be phasing out the C-Max! We own a 2013 C-Max SE and are totally sold on the car, not one spot of trouble with over 50000 miles on the odometer. In another 2 years or 100,000 miles we would buy another but will the car be available? What do others think about this?

I own the Thule rack and have never even come close to poking myself in the head with the bar. Both the systems look similar so it seems to be a choice of color either black or aluminum. The entire Thule Aeroblade system costs about $460 dollars (doesn't include bike rack). How much for the Inno rack?

In reply to Kostby No it isn't! I'm comparing two hybrid cars capable of achieving over 40 mpg. Sure by taking things out of context one can make anything mean something else. Within context my meaning is clear I prefer the C-Max over the Prius as far as hybrids in this mileage class go.

We've owned our C-Max for approximately 1.5 years and have 34,000 miles on it. Most of the miles are for commuting about 80 miles a day to work. It is a mixture of speeds 50% at and 50% under 65 mph. The terrain is very hilly though not mountainous and the weather is hot in summer and very cold and snowy in the winter. In November we put snow tires on which are removed in April. I have figured the cost of gas for the C-Max to be about $290 more than the Prius using the average miles per gallon figures for the 2013 model year of both cars from the Fuelly website,(49 mpg for the Prius and 43.9 for the C-Max). Having driven both cars the Ford C-Max wins hands down and is totally worth the extra $290 in gas. It is a much more comfortable car in fact it feels almost like a luxury vehicle. Driving is a much better experience. The view out the rear view is obstructed in the Prius and the display in the C-Max is much less complicated.

I've removed and reinstalled the Thule several times with no damage.

I bought the aero bar system as a whole unit meaning nothing else to buy except the bike rack, kyak rack or box. If you see ads for a lot cheaper than $400 it's most likely just for the bars and you'll need to buy the other parts.

Tdefny I don't know about use with the Panoramic Roof but as you can see from the photo the supports are on the side. I'm sure they are well clear of the opening but check the Thule website or call them to get their take. If you can use this rack it goes without saying to be careful putting things on it.

I installed the Thule Aerobars and no holes were required. I've had two bikes on the rack at over 65mph with no problems. There is also a kayak rack that fits the aerobar system. Anyone not wanting to drill holes in their C-Max roof should check out the Thule system. The rack also removes easily when you're not going to carry anything.

Leetramp Measured today and there is 61 inches from the front rack to the hatch seam.

Just got some new wheels from tire rack for my winter tires: 17x7.5 et +42 hub 72.2 5/108 this would make the hub diff 8.8 mm or .346457 ". Is that too much cause they say it will work. Went with the Hankook i*cept evo as they seem more suited to the winters here in the Hudson Valley.
