Being a brand new owner of a C-Max (6 days) I am a bit disappointed that the number is lower than advertised, since that was my biggest selling point. That being said, 43MPG is still good, and from what I have read throughout these forums some folks are getting close to the 47 if not more. The only thing I dislike is that I might have considered a few other vehicles if the MPG number hadn't been so attractive. Bottom line though - I love the car, it is a big improvement mileage wise over my 2004 Malibu, and I intend to do the things to maximize my mileage numbers anyway. I just wish the company would have been more honest.

I purchased an Ingot Silver SE with the 202A package on Saturday 8/10. It has a build date of 1/14, so I was a bit concerned about the various recalls after reading the many comments here on the forum. But thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences I made sure they did the 12A04 and 13C02 recalls today along with some other things they promised me when I bought the car. So far it has been fantastic and I look forward to many years of great gas mileage as I learn how to maximize economy.

No loaner today unless they have to keep it overnight. They had a shuttle bring me home, but I still had to burn a personal day, and I'm stuck at home. Hopefully they can get all of my stuff done today.

Wish me luck. I bought my Ingot Silver SE on Saturday and it is back at the dealer to get my alarm system and tinting installed. I am also getting the recent software recalls taken care of and - hopefully - the headliner recall.

Has anyone tried the liftgate mounted bike racks? I want something easy to remove when we're not riding. I just need one for my wife and I. We already have one for her Kia Rondo, but in case that won't work on the C-Max (I haven't tried it yet) I want to know what else is available.

What about in OC? My dealership in Orange has never done the roof upgrade. If any other one nearby has I would rather take it to them. Thanks.

I take it back. I also have a couple of MyFord SYNC upgrades due.

I have to get the roof recall done, but everything else is up to date. I made sure they knew, there was a recall. It seems like they were unaware. Scary.

I just became a proud new owner of an Ingot Silver C-Max 202A on 8/10/2013. Oddly enough I was not aware of the C-Max before Tuesday of last week. That day I dropped in to Ford of Orange, CA to get some info about the Fusion Hybrid. When I saw the small trunk space I knew the Fusion was not an option. By luck, while waiting for the salesman I noticed the hatchback hybrid on the showroom floor. Once he showed me the features and I had time to research it I realized this is the car I was looking for. My daily commute is 60+ miles round trip and gas was killing me. When I saw the estimated 47 MPG of the Ford hybrids I was hooked. Now that I am onboard I look forward to the savings in fuel economy. Glad to be in the Ford family after 9 happy years as a Chevy driver. I loved my Malibu Maxx, but they have nothing to match what Ford is offering right now.
