Are you talking about an Escape? :) Paul

This is plain dumb, there won't be a small minivan/hatchback left. ;) What are these people thinking. :headscratch:    Paul

They did make at AZURE/FORD Transit Connect all electric in 2012 for $57k with 80 mile range. ;) They went bankrupt. Paul

It seems to me that you could crisscross your tires and accomplish everything you need to do. You change the direction of rotation and move from front to rear. If you have an alignment problem, it won't solve that. :) Paul

Will do and try to get pics too. :) Paul

Took MADMAX in today and they ordered Climate temp sensor module which includes fan, should have tomorrow. :) Paul

Here are the numbers from my alignment with new tires. :) Front camber -0.4*, -0.7* toe .09*, 0.12* Rear camber -2.0*, -1.6* toe 0.23*, 0.17* Total Toe 0.40*, Thrust Angle 0.03* Paul

Interesting that FORD is second in total Pin's for last 2 yrs.

For me I would be upset with myself if I didn't have a plan when I run out. Where I live it is hard to get more than a mile from a gas station. :) BTW I have never run out of gas going uphill, only down hill or long level road. Which leads me to believe that the pickup is towards the back of tank. At the time I didn't have the code for SOC for the ScanGaugeII. ;) I do know that the motors jerk to start the ICE when the HVB is real low (23-27%SOC). Every time I have run out of gas, the ICE has started immediately, no cranking. :) I know it is possible to go a 1000 miles on a tank of gas, but environmental conditions have to be favorable +70*F, no strong winds(except tail winds), rain, stuck in traffic for hours and stay off the FWY's.(60+mph) . Things that help, don't be in a hurry, aerodynamic aids(Grill Covers, Wheel covers, wax car,50 psi tire pressure, ethanol free 91 octane or atleast 93 octane premium gas. Use Pulse and Glide when you can and coasting if you are up to it, assuming you get the opportunity. When my wife and I broke the record, Christmas week 2014 in Florida it took 4 days of sight seeing which makes it hard to have good conditions for that long. And we didn't, we had all the problems above and still managed to get 902.2mi.(922 actual miles). :) Paul

I use actual (GPS) mileage for fuelly, but not for posting here. With new tires I go an extra 2.2 miles per hundred miles. So in your case if you had new tires you were getting close to 700 miles. It is wise to carry a gas can if you are close to empty. You can't run the HVB dead, it won't let you. On one of my record tries I run as far as the car would go in EV. Then I put a couple of gallons in it from gas can and it started right up. Running out of gas in this car is a non even. :) BTW remember to use the gas funnel in trunk to put gas in from a gas can. :) Paul

I think you can rely on the miles to empty, I think the worst case of running out of gas was 25 miles passed 0 and I have gone atleast 60 miles. Another way is to notice when the orange/yellow low fuel light comes on which means you have 2-2.5gal. left, figure what kind of mpg's you are getting, then look at trip gauge to see what your miles should end up being. I have noticed the miles to 0 goes down faster when the low fuel light comes on. ;) BTW I have never had to walk to a gas station, it is nice to have a car that you can EV for at lest a mile after you run out. :) Paul

Well I figured what system the noise is coming from, "Heating control head (manual A/C), Climate control module" OM page 273 fuse #71 10 Amp. under glove box. So I'll talk to Dealer tomorrow to see if they can figure out what to do. ;)
-
That's interesting, I think my tire noise is the loudest 35-50 mph, which also varies with type of pavement. ;) I will try to find my alignment specs. Paul
-
I think I have run out five times and the tank holds 13.9-14 gal. You didn't say how many gal. you put in the tank, indicated is upto a gallon low. ;) Paul
-
I guess I help FORD F150 sales by ordering one last month. :) Paul
-
I have found about 30 miles more is pretty safe, I have done 50-60 miles more. How you fillup doesn't effect Miles after E, just your range before empty. If your MPG's are improving at the end of your tank, you can probably go farther past E. You could have easily made 600 miles, maybe next time. :) Paul
-
I got 64k mi on first set, 65k on second set(not worn out, 3-4/32nd, but could take the noise) cupping was hardly noticeable. All in all I can live with these numbers. :) "SnowStorm" it will be interesting to see if you get better results. Paul
-
Maybe 5K mi. could be better, but cupping maybe nature of the beast. I will try to rotate more often to see if it makes a difference. :) Paul
-
It will take atleast 5K mi. until the noise is better. ;) Bin there, done it. ;) Paul
-
What tire pressure are you using?I'm using 50 psi, IIRC On my first set of tires the inside wore a little more because drivers side rear camber was off and had to replace camber suspension casting because they aren't adjustable. I did an alignment when replacing 2nd and third sets. I did crisscross tires to minimize cupping but the tires are pretty noisy by 4-3/32. ;) Paul
-
That's right, rear drivers side, just for grins I'm going to take both fuses out at the same time to see what happens. then I'm going to try climate control fuses. ;) Paul
-
I decided to remove the fuse to make the sound go away. It turns out there are two fuses F24 and F32 and I took them out separately and the fan noise didn't go away. Darn! ;) Back to square one. :headscratch:  Paul

Thanks, My fingers can't spell. LOL Paul

Sounds like they didn't fix your water pump problem. ;) 131k mi. and no water pump problems, I did extend my warranty to 132K and it won't be long before I'm over it. ;) Paul
