The OP hasn't commented on this thread so it is hard to solve problems at this point. If I had to guess I say CARMAX put cheap tires on the car and MPG's went out the window. ;) Paul

Here's the pic: it's only an inch in diameter and maybe 4"'s long, so fan and temp sensor are inside. :) Paul

Send samples to BlackStone Labs for testing. I use it to determine how many ICE miles I can go before changing the oil and if there are any possible problems. I have 131K mi. and everything looks great and I have been using Grill Covers since the beginning. :) Paul

On my last oil change of Mobil 1 0W20 with 11,400 miles on the ICE Phosphorus 653, Zinc 717 :) Paul

LOL :) That would be more than I would expect, maybe one. Grill Covers are worth 2-4 mpg and wheel covers around 2 mpg. Also for every 10*F rise in temp you get +2mpg if you don't have to use A/C. :) :shift: Happy Gaming Paul

Got problem fixed and it wasn't what I thought, here is the problem: Temperature Control Sensor Part Number: 19C734(YH-1815)The temperature control sensor has a little fan in it. ;) Paul

You probably won't notice a difference with tire pressure in ride quality. Good Idea about gas can, I also put in large trash bag to keep the smell down. Don't forget Gas Tank Funnel is in the back, drivers side under cover, you will need it if you run out. :) I agree with you on the video game, makes time go by faster. LOL Paul

The combination of strong wind, going up and down hills, small change in elevation and the additional weight can really hurt your MPG's. I think your numbers are reasonable, also 2-4 loss of MPG's because of lower temps. ;) Just me, but i'd bump psi to 50psi and figure out some wheel covers. :) Paul

Assuming 13.9 gals for the tank capacity it looks like you were going to come up short 10-20 miles on 700 miles. ;) Also assuming your Odometer is off by 2%( New Tires) that would add 14 miles, my guess around 10 miles short. That said Great Job! :yahoo: I don't remember if you have any Aero Mods (Grill Covers, wheel covers, Gas Pods and 50 psi tire pressure), but if not and you decided to add them you could easily reach 700 miles on a tank and maybe 800 miles. :) Paul

Oil Change Monitor reset
ptjones replied to tomat12447's topic in Electrical, Gauges, Instruments, Lighting, Rear View Mirror
fbov posted this in oil change tread: 1. Press the start/stop button once (do not start the engine). 2. Press both the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time. 3. Keep both pedals fully pressed. 4. After three seconds, the Service: Oil reset in prog. message will be displayed. 5. After 25 seconds, the Service: Oil reset complete message will be displayed. 6. Release both the accelerator and brake pedals. 7. The Service: Oil reset complete message will no longer be displayed. 8. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. Good Luck, Paul :) -
I also go to the Car Wash occasionally and put it in Neutral at beginning and back into drive at end with no problems. :) Seems weird to me, I go for minutes while coasting in Neutral and then back into drive with no problems. ;) Don't know what to make of it. :headscratch: Paul
-
We could also put My ScanGaugeII on it to see what's going on. :headscratch: Paul

I have been using 50 psi for over a hundred thousand miles with no problems, and again if you are ever in the Atlanta Area we could try your car on my test loop to compare cars MPG's to see if their is a problem. :) Paul

Mid $400,000 OUCH! I would love to have one, but the CMAX is much better car for me, better MPG's, can hall big boxes, carry up to 5 people, Insurance isn't bad, cheaper and really the only thing FORD GT has is the WOW! :clapping: factor. I don't think I could write it off for the Business, couldn't afford the payments anyway, O WELL ;) Paul
-
That's real good considering no Grill Covers, wheel covers and 93 Octane. :yahoo: Also your Odometer is off so you actually went about :shift: 840 miles. :) Paul
-
I do miss our AWD Aerostar extended van, it got 20 mpg, plenty of room and the seats would lay flat. ;) Paul
-
Not very convenient Ouch! Maybe take the seats out, but that doesn't work unless you can leave them at home. ;) Paul

Energi battery kit to extend range like in prius kits?
ptjones replied to sethly1cmax's topic in Batteries
I couldn't find any Plugin kits for the CMAX and Plugin Kits for Prius are expensive, better off buying CMAX Energi. :) Now it might be interesting to extend the range of the NRG by removing 12v batt. and installing 12v LI Batt. and using extra space for extra 360v LI batt. :) Paul -
But does it have a hatchback? ;) Paul
-
If it is at the block where it unplugged, that can be a challenge to get back on depending what kind of plug arrangement you have. ;) Good Luck. :) Paul
