  1. Mine hasn't been working that for awhile so I went ahead replaced it. It was 2.90vlts and the new one 3.13volts and cleaned it up too. I was lucky I had a bunch of the batteries. :) Paul
  2. This info is three and half years old. I assume FORD is paying it back and they have until 2022 to pay it off. The Government required the money to be used for "development of hybrids and EVs, and to retool its factories to produce smaller, cleaner vehicles." If FORD went to the Bank they could have gotten a loan for anything they wanted to do. :) Paul

So if 50PSI gives the best tire wear, what tire pressure are you using? :) :shift: Paul

    Tire Life

I just talked to the Michelinman Concierge Service and I told him that I was interested in the contact patch area change from 38 to 50psi of my Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires. He said he didn't know even know how to get that info, but the important thing was to get even tire ware across the tire which gives the maximum tire contact patch. He said the Michelin Energy Savers have a 55K warranty and I told him I was using 50psi and got 64K mi. out of my first set and 58k mi. on my second set so far. On my first set there was only 1/64" difference in ware from the outside edge to the inside edge which he said was very good and recommend keep using 50psi in the tires! So there you have it, Michelin rep recommends 50psi! BTW his # is 1-888-633-3339. Also most members wouldn't notice a difference between 38 and 50PSI in their tires so try it out and let us know what you think. Paul
  6. Buy slightly used Michelin for 1/2 price on eBay Paul
  7. "I would go to a BIG FORD Electric Dealer and have them figure it out. I think your chances will be better at solving the problem. ;) Paul
  8. I don't know, the I drove was a XLE with cloth seats. I didn't look at non Hybrid Limited or SE ones with SofTex. If I'm in the area I will check again. :) The XLE is a cheaper interior than the CMAX SEL. ;) Having the Camry Hybrid drive train explains alot on EV performance. :) Paul
  9. You have a 2016, can you go faster than 62mph in EV? I don't know what could actually make a hissing sound. I would go to a BIG FORD Electric Dealer and have them figure it out. ;) Paul
  10. Mine was FWD, have friend that traded in 2009 FEH AWD for 2014 Highlander Hybrid AWD and he was getting 28mpg, pretty big hit, 2010 FEH was much better IMO. :) Paul
  11. Well today going to work I got a new record of 51mpg, garage temp 54*F,WT 120*F, SOC 45%, OT 45*F and I didn't have to deal with any traffic. :yahoo: My current average on this tank(418mi) is 52mpg. :) Paul
  12. Here's a TOYOTA News Link: http://toyotanews.pressroom.toyota.com/releases/toyota+2016+rav4+hybrid+debut.htm that talks about the battery. ;) This News Release doesn't correspond to reality IMO, I tried to get the RAV4 Hybrid to accelerate in EV, but it would jump to ICE Mode with any presser on the accelerator. Unfortunately I wasn't able to figure out how well the HVB was charged. ;) Paul
  13. I leave it on until IT gets to 100*F if you have OBDII gauge. Otherwise 70*F OT, it's all about MPG's. LOL :) Paul
  14. So no more trunk space? Darn! ;) So reg. CMAX is even smaller. Paul
  15. I would tape up the top Grill with temps that low. :) Paul
  16. I had both 2008 and 2010 which had Nav and Braking Coach which I liked alot. I also used a SanGaugeII which I'm also using on the CMAX. FEH has a better Gauge than the RAV4, looking at the brochure the MFT has an HYbrid Energy Monitor which the Salesman and I couldn't find going thru the menus. They don't make it user friendly. ;) I would like the 2010-12 FEH better. IMO
  17. Sounds about right, on those long uphills when it reaches 225*F you can turn the heater or if you need more help turn Defrost on which also turns on fan. It will only take 30 seconds to drop 10-15*F. What about MPG's? :) Paul
  18. Well I just got back from driving a RAV4 Hybrid, what a disappointment! The only thing that is better than CMAX is ground clearance, AWD, wider and maybe reliability. Visablity wasn't as good, one analog gauge for ICE/Hybrid/Charging functions which is borderline unless, it wouldn't let you figure out how to get better MPG's. EV is gutless, only used to maintain slow speeds. Total HP is 194 compared to CMAX's lighter 188HP. It is an illusion that it is a bigger vehicle, hit my head getting in the backseat, there seamed to be a little more leg room back there. Looking from the back there doesn't seam to be anymore space behind the rear seats other than the few inches of with, there was a skinny spare tire under the cover. With the seats down it didn't look like there was anymore lenght just wider. I got a brochure, the XLE didn't have electric seats and I doubt if many CMAX drivers if any would like driving this Mini SUV as opposed to the CMAX. It's like maybe the first Prius technology or before. Now that I think about it, it's like driving an ICE SUV rated at 34CTY/31HWY. :drop:  I thought TOYOTA would do better than this. Paul

  20. Well today my Life Time Average went back up to 47.9mpg, Maybe in a month or so I will make it back up to 48mpg (my record). Also I should get Fuelly back up to 47mpg. :) Paul
  21. I just remembered my Daughter's friend has a 2014 Highlander Hybrid and I think he is getting 28mpg with AWD. :) Paul
