12.99 is a wise stopping point. Unless u are confident of your EVing ability, 11 miles is too much. Good call and there is always next time..:)

You can always try.... Baconizing I am sure they can accomodate a CMax. ;) PS Welcome to the forum

*Yawn...if I see another article on "Ford" "MPG" "CMax"...."Consumer Report".....I think I might..... I have YET to see one article POSITIVE article on the range of the Cmax, the utilty and the pretty DAMN GOOD MPG that REAL DRIVERS AND OWNERS actually have posted here. Jus NOT another rag tag writeup by some old bag sitting in a some Ivory Tower in Michigan touting her "Professorialism" [insert voice FX] and automotive experience. Funny how these articles never mention the about the ability of Ford to even PATCH the CMax drive system to get UP TO 85 MPH in EV!!!!!! Oh, what can the MIGHTY PRII-o-crap do....oh...what.....what was the wee lil number...?......oh 45.....what did u say...u got a small....wah?...... and Toyota can't patch it....you're stuck and Viagra is no help....eh?!?!?!? TMI.... Sorry for the rant folks, but it has to be said. Thank you for the therapeutic moment, I'm.... :flyaway:

Thanks Laurel, I was looking for photos and yours was the best source :) Yeah, Lydia is going to be elevate womens golf to a whole new level. 3 huge wins and shes still very down to earth - its such a great story, and good for Kiwi Golf as well. Next week, its back to Adam Scott avatar...

:congrats: and welcome to the Club

Asking for the forum for intervention is like walking naked into a forest covered in honey - either the wee bees will get you or some Smokey Bear will, either way you're toast but you're all honey on the way out :twister: pssss go for it :rating:

Yeah, I had 12 AAA trucks there and in the end it had to be hauled off to Galpin so that they can rip out and work on the fuel pump, rebore the cylinders and replace both EV motors  ....damnit, bad, bad, bad sushi.... :drop: Nah, it was fine. Pour the gas in and away Maxine went. ptjones and I have both ran out, him more than me and ok :headspin:

MI CMax - take 1 run with eco-cruise and "blip" it into ICE High MPG, take 1 run with P&G. Compare. Crest over hills in EV if possible (right lane) other than that, P&G is your friend. No HVAC and keep the battery high (read up my review in my sig).

Its a rehash but no worries. I always use the Trip1 or 2 gallons used number. Miles to empty is useless and its also based on your recent driving history and can fluctuate. See my Nutz thread as proof of this. Now, I only take it to 13.0 gallons and I would ONLY BARELY go past it only when I know I "topped off" on my gas. In all my tanks, I only konked out once. Also, you know how much a ICE burn is, for me, its about 0.01 for a 2 second burn on city driving so if you are 12.30, you know you have about 20 miles safely on flat city. If you decide to drive mountains ala Nutz, you better carry a spare gas. Hope this helps :)

...oh it was a bad dream, must have been the bad sushi I had for dinner.... :drop: Now, that is how you really.... :airquote: :stirpot: We now return you back to the normal CMax channel. ;) PS :congrats: to Salsaguy and Cutie, nice to get a new job and a 2014 CMax Prii -
Countdown to cutie75 and salsaguy's Cmax...
Jus-A-CMax replied to salsaguy's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
If I were salsaguy, I would DEFINITELY BUY a Prii - afterall....10 good reasons to buy a Prii: Superior MPG over the CMax especially at 65mph EV at 70MPH is over-rated, 45 is good enought, 10 years of 100,000+ Prii can't be wrong. Ford software updates are over-rated, after all, they should have got it right in the 1st release. Ford lied, they didn't even test the CMax with the EPA. The V has superior storage over the CMax and can do 500 miles on the CMax - beat that CMax!!!!! Ha..ha...you can barely manage 38MPG, Consumer Report was SO SPOT ON! Concensus by Group acceleration is a wonderful thing, afterall...isn't that what progressivism is all about? Sitting close to the window is GOOD - afterall you want to see up close to the windscreen to get the most clarity out of the superior quality Japanese window! CMax has those big 17" wheels which are CLEARLY more inefficient that the 16" Prii wheels...smaller is better..afterall, its not the size that counts but how it's used, right ;) Superior co-eff...can't beat the 10 years of Toyota wind tunnel and real world experience. And the #10.....Jus-A-Cmax is a fake CMax poster....See, now you ALL want a Prii. What is this sitting on my keyboard... .. . -
Yeah, you have lil under 3/4 gallon left in the tank fwiw...but play safe. Well done, HUGE JUMP up the 600+ Miles Club ranking, jus by a nose over 11StiLimited. Interesting, its gone quiet on the 700+ Club, c'mon Maxers, lets see u shoot some up there... :)

lol...i was jus waiting for your stinger to arrive mtb...took its damn sweet time... ;)
-
IP check and its a good chance its a Prii owner.... ;)

Andy, thanks for signing up and the assisting with our members, its much appreciated by all. And welcome :) PS Since you've mentioned shill hunting, have a look at "P.O.S" the data input does not appear credible especially tanks 4 & 8

Ford Motor has been very different with the CMax - they ran the Irvine POW-WOW last Feb and it would have cost them a fair bit considering they paid each owner $200 each for the meet & greet and brought over 200 of its engineers, designers from Detroit. It was a win-win for both side and I was glad I went, along with SB Grad, Roninsd and some others. I have not heard of any other motor company doing such a meet on a new model of car. I was please to show them the 600+ miles per tank - which back then, was the stratosphere for the CMax...which funny enuf, is now pretty common with over 30+ drivers here smashing this illusive mark, some on their first tank. I really hope to see the CMax become stronger and stronger, the size and utility is JUS right (yeah, playing on my username ;) ) and if they bring more MPG with newer iterations, even better :headspin:

I'd take the $550, thanks Ford...and thanks for the great mileage as well. IMO and experience, the only a$$ are those Prii posters or owners, go read'em anywhere and they are not hard to find. What matter is your own MPG experience - some like wab struggle but I do not, I can drive 102MPG and yet come in at 37MPG on the same day - I chose how much MPG I want to burn by my route and speed. People who drive Priis will NEVER, EVER understand the CMax - its like telling an eskimo that being naked in the sun on sand is FUN, Prii advocates will never :airquote: get it. :stirpot: PS one neighbor has a 09 Prii and shes thinking of the CMax - on the 210, those mountains between Sunland and La Canada Flintridge is just killing her Prii "No power, I have to keep to the right"...I think u know this section of the freeway salsaguy...lets see how the Prii fanboys respond to that...what "go get a CMax"...
-
Go for it fellas... <goes get the pop-corn> MI Cmax - they don't offer :airquote: testing samples, but apparently they do offer a discount if you baseline and report back (its like 2000 miles or something, their :airquote: testing Club). Check with the past posts here, somewhere.

...and YES, I am a Golf Nut as well. I use to drive 290-300 (best was 344 yards, GPS measured) when I was a 3 capper but in the last 2 years, I had to stop playing due to lack of funds but now that I am back to a regular job, I am playing again and rebuilding the swing. If you thought 833.8 miles was tough in a CMax, then try golfing....its way harder to be consistent. The PGA and LPGA professionals make it look so easy and have got great imagination and shot making abilities. Thanks Laurel, this thread was a surprise and it really made my day. Yes, I had a good driving session on the range, looking forward to a round of gold next Labor Day weekend.

You're the best Laurel  I am going to have a new avatar...but this time,it will be to honor Lydia Ko. The 16 year old amateur from our neighbor (New Zealand) who won the CN Womens Canadian Open, the same time Adam Scott won - its a GREAT TIME for the Australian/New Zealand Golfing World For those who do not know, Lydia DEFENDED her title that she won last year as a 15 year old. At that time, she was the youngest ever winner on the LPGA but it is unheard of to defend a title. Let alone as an amateur golfer. Tiger Woods had a remarkable amateur career but he never did what Lydia has done - to win 3 professional titles as an amateur, against the pros. The spirit of :worship: Bobby Jones lives in her :happy feet: And congratulations to our Canadian neighbor for putting on such a STERLING tournament for the ladies, the crowds were amazing and thank god there was no stupid idiots yelling "mash potatos" or "in the hole"..... PS Adam will make a comeback in the week after...gotta support my boy :) For those of us living here in Los Angeles, we did not get to see the CBS telecast due to an ongoing dispute between Time Warner and CBS over the re-transmission fees. CBS wants more money while TW won't give. CBS blacked out the TW cable subscribers as well until last week in this tit-for-tat world...so I got to watch Lydia win. Yah! Now I am going to go to the range and work on my driver.

Same here AE. Need a good baseline from someone, for sure. I don't think mtb has that good of a stat (no offence dude)...

Hee....c'mon now, you know the rest of the world won't believe u dragged off a Prii and let alone got more than 50+ MPG, its NOT POSSIBLE. It was a down hill and the Prii had an headwind that you were "lucky" to avoid....crap, crap...crap...crap.... ....well done ;)
