  1. The same in MN. State Troopers lobbied and got a law passed for 50% max on cars all the way around and 50% max on SUV and all other fronts. Also, nothing on the windshield, not even an eyebrow above the ASA line. Troopers will ticket you without any negotiation and most local PD's will too. Any reputable tint shop won't break the law because they can be cited too. Other back alley shops will install whatever you want, but you get what you pay for. I had 50% installed all the way around.
  2. I chose my dealership because a few years ago, they gave me the best price when I was sending out inquiries via the internet. I returned because my experience with this dealership has been excellent. I purchased my Energi for true invoice minus the incentives, without any haggling. It's a smaller family run shop, that's been around since the mid 50's with an emphasis on customer service. I drive out of my way to use their service, parts and Quick Lube departments. Just like my barber or laundry soap, when I find something I like, I stick with them.
  3. In Ford literature it's referred to as a MAV, multi activity vehicle.
  4. I've looked for the in channel and I think it's just that the various web retailers haven't updated their sites yet. The 2013 and 2014 are identical. My main concern and I'm looking forward to ecraigsmit's response about the bounce back.
  5. I also wouldn't recommend someone trading in a 1-2 year old Hybrid for an Energi, unless you can sell to a private party for more money than you owe, because a dealership is going to low ball you. When I considered purchasing my Energi, I thought about how I was going to use it and if I would maximize the 20-25 miles of EV for my daily use. If I don't have to run any errands after work, I can make my 19 mile round trip on EV. This morning I used 3.2 miles of ICE because it was cold as &)%# and raining so I needed heat and defrost. I'll be retiring in 3 years to Sun City, AZ and between trips to the grocery, golf course, rec center, restaurants, Home Depot, which are all within 1/2 to 10 miles from my house, I should rarely need to run the ICE. That's what I believe a person needs to consider when deciding between a PHEV and an HEV, can you maximize the full electric for your daily needs. I like to maximize regen, but don't worry about it too much, because I plug in every night. I haven't purchased gas since 3/23 after a 200 mile road trip and the only reason it's now just below 1/2 tank, is I intentionally burned gas to maintain 1/4 - 1/2 tank to lighten the load and keep it fresh.
  6. Excellent, this guy is either looking for sympathy and not advise, or he's a Ford hating troll.
  7. This guy spammed the Blue Oval Forum and was banned. He also posted his self serving BS on the Energi forum. The Moderators should close this thread and at the least put this poster on notice.
  8. I'm another crossover C-Max owner from the Energi forum. I would like to upgrade my halogen headlights to a whiter, brighter bulb with a wider beam. I don't want to retro fit to HID's (too many bad luck stories out there from using the Chinese kits), just a better halogen bulb. Any suggestions on a good bulb? When I search for H11 bulbs on Amazon and use the does it fit your vehicle feature, it states it fits the 2013 C-Max but does not fit the 2014. Was there a change to the bulb or headlamp housing/socket between the two years, or is it that Amazon hasn't caught to include the 2014's?
