  1. Check with your local utility at one time our local Consumers Power had a program that would help with the cost of installing special outlets for electric vehicles via rebate.
  2. It wasn't significant changes or launch difficulties. There were several part supply interruptions along with down weeks and production problems, after a process upgrade, that delayed the fulfillment of existing 2014 orders until the final build. When we got the new parts we started building them. Part of doing business, not particularly newsworthy. They are running full production at MAP now. September 15 was a good target, it just didn't happen. The F150 did launch but that day was pushed several times. They are ramping up slowly because of new material and production technologies employed. MAP Stamping is also doing some of the subassemblies for the 150.
  3. "I am picking up my new 2015 C-Max today. Any advise Started by James Libasci, Nov 12 2014 11:50 AM" 2015's began production on Monday 11/10. Now that's a good supply chain to make it under the bridge to the dealer by Wednesday.
  4. I have to say those numbers are incredible and a worthy goal. Still a ways off for me but one to which I aspire. Great job Jus!
  5. They'll probably have something like that there. Possibly even your dealer may have some left over from one of the front plate kits.
  6. Black screws at Auto Zone. Should be at any auto parts store should also be available in Nylon type. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Dorman-License-plate-screw/_/N-25q1?itemIdentifier=464528_0_0_ http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Bell-Black-nylon-license-plate-fasteners/_/N-25q1?itemIdentifier=562425&_requestid=626913
  7. Pressing the radio's on button after shut off will turn the radio on for another 20 mins. or so
  8. Yes at least two of those are right.
  9. Wow, it's unbelievable but my company email today had a survey to ask about preferences for, 'yup, you guessed it', center arm rests. I answered with the consensus of the respondents to this thread and, who knows maybe in the near future somethings will change. Attention Drivers -- Armrest Feature Survey -- Responses accepted through Monday, September 15. Our product development teams ensure they are designing features for customers that are competitive and innovative, the Interior Team is asking for your opinion on an Adjustable Center Armrest for your vehicle. Who'd have thought.
  10. There is no need to buy it if you register with SyncMyRide.com. If your vehicle history shows that the update is needed for your car it will provide a link to the download. Location of manufacturing plant may determine a different update requirement i.e. Saarlouis Assembly versus Michigan Assembly Plant. I noticed you are in Poland, so I'm not sure.
  11. Escape interior is very close to the C-Max. it may work if they don't have C-Max model specific.
  12. What I have is 0968 - USA 2013 NEW 48/125000 PREMIUMCARE W/ROADSIDE. But under the SYNC/MyFordTouch it also says (excludes Software Upgrades). Going from the A4 to the A5 is considered a Software Upgrade. At this point it doesn't matter if I agree or not. The dealers have their website that they check for the replacement parts they are using and the computer tells them if the part is covered by any existing warranty (by VIN number). In my case, both to them and to me, the answer was no.
  13. Like I said I thought it was the APIM module and that is covered by a warranty extension (12M02 - 5 yrs, unlimited mileage). They bought the car out said it was all fixed but it wasn't the module it was the card. I have seen and know I can get the card for way less, but they had already done the work and I was kind of stuck. It's been working since so I have to assume they found the right problem. I've not looked at the replacement cost for the Ford part through dealers, so I don't think they overcharged me. Just that it costs way more than it should.
  14. The other day my MFT would not respond to button presses on the normal radio screens (AM, FM). I did a master reset, after which using the preset button on the MFT, the radio stations would change but the display would not. It was playing the station of the button I pressed but the display said the first station was still playing. Subsequent presses changed the station but not the display. Changing to Sirius/XM the display and preset buttons worked the way you would expect. On regular radio no screen updates at all. Took it to dealer as I thought it was the warrantied APIM module. Dealer looked at the DCIM codes and said there was no communication between the radio module and the NAV card. I thought the NAV card held only the map data from TelNav or whomever the map vendor is. But the dealer tried to tell me that the card is like the decoder cards on a TV satellite receiver. They replaced the A4 card with an A5 and returned it to me, working correctly, along with a bill for $235. My mileage is way over the 36000 coverage for warranty, but the NAV card is not covered by the 100,000 mile extended warranty I purchased. I think I was dazzled by B.S. I was wondering if Rebecca could find out from her tech team if there is more to the NAV card than simply map and POI data. I did check the codes reported and the coverage of the card by the extended warranty and they were telling me the truth about those it's just the symptoms would not lead me to think of the NAV card.
  15. At one point in time our local power company had a rebate program (up to $2500) to help with the cost of installing a 240v EV charging station for homeowners. Don't know if it could extend to condo/apartment complexes, but may be worth investigating. I decided to go with hybrid C-Max so I don't know if it was only during the initial gov't rebate phase or if it was a green initiative that is ongoing. Plug-in Electric Vehicle Incentive ProgramTo help customers make the transition to using plug-in electric vehicles in Michigan, Consumers Energy is offering a limited incentive program for home charging stations. Qualified Consumers Energy electric customers who enroll in the program will be able to receive a reimbursement of up to $2,500 from Consumers Energy to help cover the purchase, installation and required home wiring of a Level 2 charging station. Any cost or expenses beyond $2,500 are the responsibility of the customer. This program is limited only to the first 2,500 participants. Get the PEV Reimbursement Application and download the Consumers Energy's Plug-in

  17. Thanks for the feed back @emcdonnell. In many of the posts here the Ford reps offer service by asking to PM. I understand the reasoning for it. However its seldom that we ever find out the resolution and its good to know that they are able to help when it seems that all other attempts have hit the virtual brick walls. Great job at problem solving by Crystal.
  18. I have an Ice Storm SEL also. The color is so calming it helps me my mind at ease. Good luck with your purchase. May you have many miles of quiet EV in front of you.

  20. This morning my fillup showed 11.73 gals. pumped to the second click off. The trip computer showed 11.38 gal used.
  21. Got mine today. My wife called me from the casino to tell me it had arrived.
  22. I haven't used the X-Plan pricing option, but I beleive the MSRP is not binding on the dealers. If they're willing to accept less profit they may be willing to undercut X-Plan. Maybe they would hoping to get a long term customer that they can make up the difference on, over the long run, with service and such. There are even dealers that say they can beat A-Plan prices, and maybe they can with fleet buys or some other purchase incentives from Ford.
  23. I had observed the same as ScubaDad and I thought this is cumbersome to have to stop to reply (I know its safer, but). I hit the Sync button (i have the prompts screen active) and noticed that reply was an option, so I said reply. It changed to the screen with the pre-cut replies on numbered lines and asked which line number I would like to send. I picked line 4 and it said it was sending. I then got a reply to my reply from my wife so it must have worked. I didn't have to stop, and other than looking at the display to pick the line it worked well. Even while moving.
  24. I've gotten alerts for travel. It then asks if you want to avoid or ignore it. If you hit avoid it re-routes the nav to miss the problem. Many times I've decided to ignore and when I get there, no accident in site. Also not sure that the detours that it routes are the most efficient.
