Ugh!! Hate those nasty critters! I think the bras are more trouble than they are worth! I have heard that dryer sheets will take luv bugs off but haven't yet tried it myself?

Owners who added body trim -- happy?
RockwallRick replied to Kelleytoons's topic in Accessories & Modifications
It's just a matter of personal preference, I like the clean body look myself! I would remove the badges as well, if my Wife would let me! Customizing my Truck has become a hobby for me. I have a "major" bumper ding on it, thanks to my Wife!! I am going to remove the bumper and replace it with a roll pan. This will give me that new Truck feeling all over again! :) -

My Wife is absolutely addicted to Satellite Radio! She has it on channel 7 most of the time. -

To each his own, I've already told my story about the "Mother" of ALL door dings!!! -
Congrats!! :happy feet:

This is a good video for those of you that are learning how to drive a hybrid for the first time like I was! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrJjUYxncyM

Do you have any Regrets in Buying the C-Max
RockwallRick replied to NCtoCAgirlie's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
Take your time Scott and find the best deal! I got 7k off the sticker price of my Truck but if I had waited a few more months it would have been 10K! Still have that Truck after 10 years and still treat it like it was brand new!! -
Body Side Moldings And Tinted Glass
RockwallRick replied to RedLdr1's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I learned the hard way that no matter where you park they will get you! I received the "Mother" of all door dings in a parking lot in Raleigh, NC. I parked far away from everyone else and I was only in the store for a few minutes.. This woman had thrown her door open and it was jammed so hard into my door that she could not pull it back off!! I was able to pry it off but it left a horrible scar. Body side mouldings were no match for this woman!!! -
7 months on lot vs 3 months on lot?
RockwallRick replied to scottwood2's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
My number one priority was finding something that would make my Wife happy! ( At least for awhile!! ) I searched all over Florida to get one with all of the options she wanted, plus it had to be the right color! I have no idea how long it sat on the lot? -
My Wife is so fed up with our bathroom carpeting that she is currently shopping for Ceramic Tile for both bathrooms!! I do like the rubber floor mats but we won't be using them in our bathrooms!!!
-
I like to place the mats out in my driveway and hose them off, but I wouldn't do that with the carpeted floor mats!! We actually do have carpeting in the bathrooms and my Wife hates it!!

RockwallRick replied to NCtoCAgirlie's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
No regrets yet, but hopefully we didn't get a Monday or Friday Car!! I did not find this site until after we bought our C-Max, so not sure if the negative posts would have swayed me or not? -
We got the rubber mats and the carpeted ones from Ford. We decided to use the Rubber ones. I think they are easier to clean.

Congrats and Welcome to the Site! I am running a thread for 2014 Owners/Issues, please post your problem there! We have had ours for a little over two months, so far so good!

I must admit that I did NOT give the Prius a fair shake! I steered my Wife away from the Prius from day one. I think she is happy with the way it turned out! :)
-
Yes, I am running a thread specifically for Issues on the 2014's. Please post there if anyone has battery issues on their 2014 C-max SE or SEL.

My Wife left her C-Max at the airport for a week while she was in Ireland. I have to admit that after reading all the posts about battery issues I was slightly concerned that it might not start for her when she got back! I am happy to report that she is safely back home and still NO issues on our 2014 Sel!! :)

Sap on Windshield

I have heard that dryer sheets work very well for bug removal as well. I need to try this on those nasty luv bugs we get in Florida in May and October! -
I found a website for a C-Max Club in the UK. After reading a few posts I came to this conclusion. When it comes to the C-Max you either love them or hate them no matter where you come from! http://www.cmaxownersclub.co.uk/

I used to drive a Corvette but I don't miss getting up out of it! My wife is very possessive of her C-Max as well. I usually drive when we are together but she is a horrible back seat driver!!!

I have had batteries that lasted anywhere from 3 years to as long as 8 years, but no matter what car you drive you will eventually have to deal with a dead battery. From my experiences they seem to die suddenly without any warning. Justs my 2 cents!!

Goo Gone works for sure and you don't have to worry about using it on the painted surfaces. -
No Worries! I like to think that most of the problems encountered by the 2013 owners were cleared up before we bought our cars!! We have made a lot of trips into Orlando as well! One of my daughters recently got married at Leu Gardens and the other one just started her sophomore year at UCF.
