Just wondering if anyone has removed their badges for a cleaner look? My Wife would kill me if I did it to her car, but it would probably be a long time before she even noticed it!! By the time she did, I could just plead ignorance and say, "Maybe they just fell off" :lol:

I can't win for losing! If I try to get the best possible mileage out of the car my Wife accuses me of driving like an old Lady! lol I still manage to average around 46 mpg even with the AC running full blast all of the time! My Wife is content with her 43 mpg average!! :rockon:

Don't forget to close the sunshade if you are going to be parked in the sun for any length of time! My wife was used to having an opening sunroof but she is happy with the Pano Glass Roof.

I may end up going back to Walmart after all? Patiently waiting to see Kellytoons pics.

Yeah, I need to come up with something that is "Wife friendly"!! lol Must be convenient for storage and easy to use!!

I tried the largest circular sunshade ( super jumbo ) that Walmart sells but no worky! I also tried a fold up sunshade from Advance Auto that is supposed to fit the Cmax but it wasn't big enough. As far as protecting the dash, I have used Aerospace 303 protectant in my Truck and the dash still looks like new after 10 years in the Texas and Florida Sun. We got our C-max from Weikert Ford in Lake Wales. ( They got it from some dealer up in the panhandle?? )

Yeah, it needs something back there! My wife didn't like the "bare plate" look! Here is a pic of the one I found on Ebay

I think they look better without the front plate as well. However, I did add a chrome plate holder for the rear license plate.

I found a chrome C-max plate holder on Ebay. Looks much better than the Dealer plate frame or just a bare license plate.

The Wife and I have decided to stay with the Pro Trim Roll Up Sunblocker. She promised me that she would at least use it when she leaves her car at the Airport! If I had seen this thread earlier I would have spent the extra money and bought the Ultimate Intro-Tech sunshade.

I bought one of those Pro-Trim Sunshades for our C-max but my Wife says its too much trouble to put in place by herself and she will NOT use it! Having lived in Texas and Florida I am a firm believer in using windshield sunblockers!! If anyone wants to buy it I can make you a good deal!

This happened to us while we were at the Beach. I closed it manually and since then no problems. We have only had this car for a little over a month. I think there is a reset button but I didn't use it. We have already put 2k miles on our car!! So far, so good .. no other problems to report.

Personally, I liked the Blue Candy better than Ice Storm, but my wife thought that was too much blue and after all, it is her car! I used to have a Silver Blue Corvette that appeared to change color depending on the lighting as well. :rockon:

Good Choice! Looks just like ours! :rockon: My Wife was hooked after her test drive!! She gave up a lot of hp but tripled her gas mileage!!! :)

Thanks for the info! I found one in Daytona but she didn't like the color, then I found another one in Jacksonville. We were getting ready to drive up there but then our local Ford dealer found another one which had everything on it ( including sunroof ) She was used to having an opening sunroof but so far I don't think she misses it. It was a radical change. She had an SRT Charger before!!

My Wife and I recently purchased a new 2014 C-Max Sel and our local Ford Dealer had to go all the way to the Florida Panhandle to find one with the panaramic sunroof plus the options and color she wanted. She had her head set on a hybrid but was unimpressed with the sluggishness of the Toyota Prius! I talked her into test driving a C-max even though I am NOT a Ford guy myself! I drove it to Clearwater Beach and back ( approx 180 miles ) and averaged about 46 mpg in combined city/hwy driving. I think with a little practice it will be able to crack the 50 mpg barrier! Looking forward to learning more about this car!! We are lovin it so far!!
