  1. I didn't have any defects on my 2014 either. But I drove at least a dozen C-Max / Energi before I picked mine out.
  2. Yes, regular gas. Don't know about wheel covers (I have the stock alloy wheels), and I do keep 50 PSI.
  3. Mine came as a single zip file, that I unzipped to the flash drive.
  4. I didn't try it, but the manual said that if the image was too large it would just be a black screen.
  5. May as well list it here: MyFord Touch allows you to upload photos in several different types of formats, including .jpg, .gif, .png, and .bmp. There is a file size limit of 1.5mb and can hold up to 32 pictures total. The optimal resolution for a photo on MyFord Touch is 800×384.
  6. I took a long trip to NM from CA, mostly at 75 or so average MPH. I got a little over 36. I have the Energi, which has a slightly less efficient final gear ratio for some reason.
  7. Just chiming in. I had not done this, it is a hoot...
  8. I owned a Fairmont sedan for 13 years, right out of college. One of the best cars I've owned. 5.0L engine, and a light frame, it could really move, and was very maneuverable. It was lightly built, but had great visibility.
  9. I remembered it because mine had some horrible number on it when I got it. I didn't have that many miles, maybe 40 or so. But they didn't tend to keep the cars charged up. I was also shopping for a hybrid C-Max, and we looked at 6 of them before we found one that didn't need a jump for the battery.
  10. Ouch. New vehicles only get a single year. I doubt many people will renew.
  11. According to what I've read, it does consider the driving style. But I've never seen any documentation to support that.
  12. There is a separate display of cumulative mileage. If you haven't reset it, this would include any time spent at the dealer during demo rides and etc. If you go to MyView and hold down the OK button, it will reset.
  13. The only time I use it is when I enter a Nav destination from my phone and have it sent to sync. Then I can say "Services", and the destination is downloaded and programmed to my vehicle. I've never used any of the other features, and I don't think I'll pay to continue the service after 3 years.
  14. Interestingly enough, many vehicles today are being shipped with auto-stop on the engines. I believe Ford is doing it on the ICE Escape for 2017, and the Fusion and F-150 have it as options.
  15. I don't know, Ford considered hybrid technology on the larger cars about 10 years ago, and abandoned it. A truck is pretty heavy for hybrid application. That's why the GM model really only used the hybrid for providing job site power to the 110v outlet.
  16. The scanguage II reads out what the CPU is reporting as WT, which is caluclated by the computer based on CWT. EDIT: There is no sensor to measure water temperature.
  17. CWT is the only guage I'm aware of. The water temperature is inferred from CWT.
  18. But think of all the money you'd be saving by not buying so much at Costco! At the moment I'm only saving about $10 per month in gas costs by using electric in my Energi rather than running in Hybrid mode. Unless gas gets really expensive again, the difference is not that great. In my opinion, at the moment the hybrid is a better value, unless you need the HOV lane access here in LA, or just love that EV driving experience. Another thing to consider is that you don't have to drag the cable out nightly and plug in your hybrid C-Max. I'm not really sure what I would do if I were in the market today. Probably it would depend on the deal I was offered.
  19. Ford dealers only do what is required under warranty. But I've seen over in the Fusion Energi forum that folks have installed the file downloaded from somewhere else than Ford. Evidently there is only one file. Take a look at the Fusion Energi forum. But really, unless you have Apple, I'm not sure the upgrade is needed.
  20. Looking at that pic reminds me that I never go much past 12 gallons before filling up. That looks like some good driving!
  21. Sorry, couldn't resist (I know, probably should have!). Good luck with your sale!
  22. Presumably dropping the price TO 11K and not selling for $500!
  23. They may have revampted it, but the first part of this has been Prius technology since at least Gen 2, and I think Gen 1. Ford doesn't have it because Toyota owns the patent, and that is not one they desired to "trade" in return for Ford tech. (FWIW, Ford and Toyota did trade use on a number of hybrid patents back in the 2006 time frame. They discovered they had been duing simultaneous development of the same basic hybrid system. Thus the HSD and Ford hybrid systems are similar, but not identical.)
  24. For climate, I think he was referring to any use of LiIon batteries in the FCV. I've not read much about the tech, but they probably do use batteries to smooth out the delivery. But I doubt that temperature makes much difference.
