:2thumbs: Glad to hear you finally got it taken care of to your satisfaction!

Didn't take long at all to find what I was thinking about. This is for cracking of the leather on the booster part of the seat. Perhaps your dealer can get the seats repaired using this corrective action. When you open the link below, scroll up to the first post. If I'm not mistaken, there was actually some type of TSB or customer satisfaction program regarding the leather seats on some C-Max vehicles. I think 2015 models were included in it. Try doing a search for it on the board here and on the Energi forum. If I get time later, I'll also see if I can find it.

The one year free service trial expired on my 2015 C-Max in April. I renewed the service for $60.00 because I use it pretty often. Even though my navigation map is the A6 version, there are locations which are not on the map, or new restaurants, etc. You are given 20 free operator assisted calls with the first year of trial service, and then an additional 20 calls each time you renewal the services. The unused calls can be carried over when you renewal your services as long as you do it before the expiration date. Because I had unused calls from a Ford Edge which came with 3 years of services, I now have 70 calls or so still available. Services can be used for navigation (they will send the directions to your car), business search ( again, directions to your car or they will text you the information such as address, phone, etc), weather, sports scores, news, gas prices and locations, and a few other features. For $5.00 a month, I think it is well worth it for my needs.

The Walmart rebate for the same period in 2015 does not apply now for 2016 according to the Mobil 1 site.

No more Town & Country but Pacifica? The Town and Country are still going to be built as a mini-van as long as a demand exists for it, according to FCA. The Pacifica is being offered as a cross between an SUV and a mini-van.

Car came with nav, but no SD card. Replacements?
ls973800 replied to SPL Tech's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Here is someone on the Fusion Hybrid forum who has added the navigation for around $500.00! More to it than just plug and play, but at least it appears it can be done. http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/3777-navigation-added-to-my-system-today/ -
GPS Antena to my smartphone
ls973800 replied to Tomasz Karwowski's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I really doubt it. Doing a quick search on "Google" for "phone has bad gps reception" many suggestions come up, the most common being to check your phone settings. https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-improve-your-gps-signal-on-your-android Doing a search for "external gps antenna for smartphone" also brings up many different results. You will have to check them out to see if anything sounds like it would work for you. Many of them are Bluetooth GPS antennas from what I quickly saw. -
Car came with nav, but no SD card. Replacements?
ls973800 replied to SPL Tech's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Have you actually done this? Having belonged to several Ford forums over the last 10 years or more, people have always asked if this could be done, but no one had ever done it. I believe there are other factors involved from reading those other forums, and it is NOT as simple as a plug and play like you describe. Great if it worked as easy as you say it does, but I really doubt it unless someone can say they did it. Can you also show some of the search results with a price of $200.00 or so for the screen, the APIM, and the navigation card? I think you will be more in the $500.00-$1000.00 range for those three items by the time you are done. -

Ford safety feature snitches out hit-and-run driver
ls973800 replied to raadsel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
At least that feature can be turned "ON" or "OFF" by the driver. Glad hers was ON during this incident. -
Those services for 5 years are from Sirius/XM and are what is called Travel Link I believe. Regardless if you have or keep an active subscription to Sirius/XM for the music channels, you will receive the Travel Link services from them for 5 years. The Ford Services are directly from Ford. Although many of the same type services are also available such as movies, sports, and other stuff, there are also a few additional features. You can call and talk to an operator who can find and send specific directions to you or an address for a business or residence you can not find using the in car navigation. I have used the operator assisted calls several times when trying to find a new address which isn't in the data base of my navigation. I got 20 free assisted calls per year with the Ford My Services. I was able to roll over any unused calls each year when I renewed the free services. When I traded in my 2013 Ford Edge and got the 2015 C-Max, the unused calls from the Edge transfered to the new account on the C-Max. Unfortunately, now it looks like I only have 1 year of free services on the C-Max instead of the 3 years the Edge came with. Not sure if I will pay for the option after the 1 year is over. It is a nice feature and MUCH cheaper than other programs such as the GM OnStar plan. However, between my or my wifes smart-phones we should be able to duplicate almost all of the services Ford offers on their plan.

You can connect to "Services" in your car to get directions, find a business, get sport scores, weather, gas stations, etc. You need to set up your account and have a phone paired in the car in order to use the services. https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/sync-services/sync-services-overview.html

3 years, but each year you have to contact them to "renewal" the services. No charge, but you must contact them to continue the service. The fee once the 3 years was up was $60.00 on my 2013 Ford Edge, not sure what it is on my 2015 C-Max. Lincoln owner's had to pay even more for the services but still had the identical benefits from what they said. I guess premium costs for a premium vehicle?

I felt pressured to buy this car. I wanted to look at the other one they had on the lot, but the salesman pretty much refused. Even told me it was a 2016 (which I later found out it wasn't). Told me it was too much and had no discount. I needed a car (we had already sold our other) and was over a barrel. I felt pushed into this one, even though I wanted to look at the other. It makes me more and more uneasy as I think of the whole transaction. So you are now blaming the salesman for not showing you what you wanted, and you were pushed into this one? How big was the gun held to your head that forced you as the buyer to do what the salesman wanted you to do? The uneasy part of the whole transaction is that you didn't use due diligence when making such a huge purchase. Only yourself to blame in my opinion.

The only way I have ever added wallpaper is to copy it to a USB drive, and then insert the USB into the car. You then save the images to the hard drive ( I guess that is where it is stored in the car). You then have to go into the menu and select which picture you want to have displayed. I have never tried to copy it directly from the phone using BT.

Question to Ford Tech or anybody in the know OIL Flush
ls973800 replied to catsailor's topic in General Discussion
Just a way for the shop to make more money from a service you don't need. Using the proper oil and following the intervals which are in the owner's manual will require no additional "flushing" or "cleaning" services, IMHO. -
I called and spoke with Ford regional rep, and she was not helpful in the least. She said it wasn't Ford's problem since we can't prove it happened at the factory, and was completely dismissive of my safety concerns. What in addition to the cosmetic concerns you noted are the safety concerns? If you told the rep the car was unsafe because of the quality issues you have noted, I can understand why she was dismissive of those concerns. Hope you can get everything worked out to your satisfaction with the dealer and you can enjoy your new car.

Rear Main Replaced needs it again!
ls973800 replied to rjam's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Park Assist & Suspension
You will have to check your lemon laws for the state you live in. I highly doubt that a car with 58000 miles on it will be eligible because of a main rear seal having to be replaced twice. -
Maybe next time. Good luck

That's surprising that you can't find one. Must be like looking for the golden ticket. What side do you need, and what options (heated, memory, off-road, etc)? I'm just wondering why it would be so hard to find one.
-
I don't understand "Salvage yards can be very territorial". My son needed a passenger outside mirror with heat and memory for his Buick Rendezvous. Using the link I listed for the OP, I found numerous mirrors throughout the country. I was able to find several in the same color as his that needed replacement. The yard I bought from shipped it and the cost was under $60.00! I called and spoke to them before buying, and they provided answers to all of my questions. The mirror and glass were in GREAT condition! From a GM dealer, an unpainted mirror would have been over $300.00 if not more. Have you tried the car-parts link I posted? I did a quick search and found numerous mirrors in grey, just don't know what options or what side you need. Here is a copy of the search fields you can use to look for a mirror for your daughters car at that site.

Headlights Auto on.....Auto Light Rain?
ls973800 replied to Adair's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
My headlights come on when using the rain sensor setting once the wipers come on for more than several wipes in a period of a minute or two. 2015 C-Max. I leave my headlights in "Auto" and the lights aren't coming on just because it is dark enough during the rain. I also leave the wipers in Sensor mode so I don't have to do anything once it starts raining or stops. Yesterday in a spotty mist the lights would come on, but go off once the wipers would stop long enough. They would come back on again when the wipers started several more sweeps. -
Perhaps a salvage yard? Maybe the Focus, Escape, and C-Max all use the same headrest? Here is a link for a nation wide search of participating salvage yards. Put in what you are looking for, and you might find it. You can also send a message of what you need if you don't find it. I looked real quick under Headrest but didn't see any listed for just a C-Max. http://car-part.com/
