My POS Crapsman just gave up it's ghost and I HAD to start using the old school rotary Fiskars that the wife bought, while I was away on my last training tour for 7 months; she could not get the Crapsman started on her own. IIRC, the Fiskars was $135, silent, no fuel/electricity. I've grown to like it.

Interesting post John. There is an aftermarket battery build market for these, just as there is for the Prius batts., which is not only more affordable but is more stout as well. Who is it you are trying to scare, or convince?

Just snagged a '13 in Ox White on accident, it was all they had. Used to work in A GM paint shop, white was the easiest for everything spray, repair, you name it. As we heat up she'll stay cooler, which reminds me I have to name the beast.

I worked in a GM plant for almost 15 years; this too shall pass, and when fuel prices go back to $5 a gallon the new & improved C-Max will probably be built in Michigan. Our plant "lost" product to Mexico too, it wasn't the end of the world, but you can be damn sure that the next C-Max vehicles built in Michigan WILL be the best. In these American workers I do trust.

So, what other fluids do we have to change besides engine oil? Bought a used '13 with over 60K miles on it...

Interesting, my new to us '13 SEL is listed as a '14 Energi as well. Oh well, thanks for heads up, found 3 open issues to look at...

Howdy, just finished test drive and paperwork on a 2013, needs (2) new front tires which they agreed to shoe on there, so I'll go back to pick it up on Monday. We are diesel dogs and motorcyclists, with also having a '05 Prius as well. Used to work for GM in their Tahoe/Suburban factory. Started road-racing motorcycles in CCS, needed a tow vehicle and that's where my Ford avenue was created with our 7.3 PSD, also had an ex-LEO Crown Vic (Still would had it not been for Bambi's hari-kari). Anyway, look forward to this new learning curve, thanks for a great place!!
