Nice pic! I also have the Tuxedo Black. I'm always wary of waxes with abrasives on black cars as they can cloud the paint over time. I use a good carnuba wax, like Blitz. No abrasives and great shine.

I have an Energi (all Energis are SEL). It doesn't have the "A" as shown in the manual, but it does have automatic wipers, so the manual must be in error. You can see the sensor from the front of the car. It's a largish extension below the rear view mirror and has small optical sensors on it. I thought they would, but I haven't noticed the headlights come on when automatic wiping, even when continuous. Pretty sure the manual says they should though.

The Energi, at least, has a 3G cellular modem for management use only. It's hidden from the user so you can't use it for anything else. I'm sure the text will be indirect via Ford's MyFord Mobile servers.

The MyFord Mobile Android app released today for the Energi includes a notification feature (email or text) with a number of options, one of which is low 12V. The car should now text me if the battery goes low. That is unless battery drain bug is due to a computer hang...

I found the same issue on my car. I dropped it in the service dept. They said they adjusted the cable bit it's still a bit floppy and operates only at the extreme of its movement range. Did you try lifting the handle all the way, through the resistance at the very end?

My second black car. The Tuxedo Black really looks nice in the sun. I think the embedded chips are some kind of mica rather than metallic, makes for some great color effects. Like my last car, I'm only hand washing and using Blitz carnauba wax. Auto car washes and some cheaper waxes can leave nasty abrasions that show up badly on black paint.

Mine is missing the 'A' on the stick too but still has the option. The lights come on automatically in rain too. Nice.

Isn't it a body heat/proximity sensor? I found that it only unlocks if my thumb is close to it when I grab the handle.
