  1. Fair enough, I did it with full knowledge that it could screw things up. However, I believe that even the worst screw up could be fixed by reverting back to SYNC 1.0.
  2. I did it and it works fine. I am not sure how the memory module could be affected. It is hardware.
  3. Screw it, I am going to install the update. I cannot get a straight answer from Ford tech support. If it wrecks my SYNC system, then I will get a clean install of 1.0 at the dealer. 2016 CMax SEL btw...
  4. Where did you get the SYNC upgrade? I am still waiting for over the air upgrade, and my Ford dealer claims that they don't have the upgrade. Maybe I'll call Ford and try to find out.
  5. I have a similiar problem. Pandora only functions intermittently. SYNC version 1.0 Build: 15139 Last checked for update 18 January 2017 BTW, when is Android auto going to be rolled out for my 2016 C-Max hybrid
  6. Bumped again. I understand that rollouts don't always go as planned. Is there a new scheduled date for the rollout of Android auto for my 2016 C-Max.
  7. 10 days later and no alarm issue. Thanx reedmother
  8. My experience: I have bought the expensive ones and the cheap ones, they only last for about 2 seasons. The reason is the bungies that they use to attach to the seat break. So, but the cheap ones and get new ones every 2 years.
  9. OK, I'll give it a try, and report back.
  10. Bumping to see if anyone has heard any news regarding when Android auto will be released for 2016 SYNC 3 cars.
  11. I have done some sleuthing. 1. Fob battery. It is good. I can activate the locks, or deactivate the alarm from a substantial distance. 2. Both fobs behave the same. 3. The "no key detected" happens less when I pause before opening the door, and if I approach from the front of the car. LESS! 4. When it happens it doesn't matter if I lock the door with the touch pad on the handle or if I use the fob. I can live with it, I just have to walk away from the car slowly. When it is time for service, I will have them look at it.
  12. Brand New C Max Hybrid, 2016. 302a package, type 1 intelligent access key. Occasionally when I get in the car, the door unlocks to let me in, but on the instrument panel I get the message "No key detected" however, the car still starts right up. Additionally, sometimes when I lock the door, either by touching the sensor on the door handle or by using the key fob, about 1 minute later the horn starts beeping and the lights flash. If I press unlock, and then lock again, the alarm ceases, and it doesn't happen again. What? What am I doing wrong? I have checked the doors to see they are closed. This doesn't happen every time. Any suggestions?
  13. I received the car yesterday. Very Nice. Kona Blue is a great color, and it is very nice to be driving a new car. I am enjoying the ride to work. I'll enjoy the ride fishing even more.
  14. Build date 05/11/2016. Downloaded window sticker yesterday. Dealer says second week of June.
  15. I have just received my VIN. Not much info available on the ETIS. Also, how do I translate the build date. It is this 30.11.0002. No window sticker available yet.
