First I've heard of the problem. I would tend to suspect a clogged drain of some sort, e.g. from AC evaporator or vent duct work.

I haven't experienced this particular issue, but a failing 12V battery can cause many weird problems. In my case, for example, back-up warning sensors failed.
Just a thought.

Where can this file be found?

Thanks for finding a reasonable replacement. Knowing the group number will be a big help.
Also, don't forget to reset the battery age monitor/charging scheme. Something like hold the brake pedal down, rub your belly 10 times, or some such. Search the forum for specifics.
Cheers.

Also, there's a nag that will display about checking/replacing the tire mobility kit. Search the forum for more info.

Sounds like the 12V battery may be on its last legs.

The C-Max engine is started by one of the two 450V electric motors housed inside the transmission. There is no "traditional" mounted-to-the-bellhousing starter motor.

The service bulletin says less than an hour to fix (according to a google search).

FYI, just received the "Parts are now available ..." letter for my 2013.

Is this not simply the engine running? Whether or not the engine runs at start-up is (mainly) a function of the HVB (high-voltage battery) state of charge. So if the HVB needs charging when the car is started, the engine will start so it can recharge the HVB.

Hopefully the cable has broken or merely become disconnected. It happened to me following transmission replacement years ago. Fix was done by Ford so I have no idea how to DIY. Perhaps someone with the shop manual can help.

Probably called a grommet. I would check first with a dealer as it's likely not available after-market.

I found a copy of latest Sync 2 (v3.10) release out on the internet and installed it a couple years ago. It works fine on my 2013 Hybrid.
3.10 looked to be a patched version of 3.08 , saw that while it was installing. Someone on the Fusion forum had posted a link
where to find it. 3.10 removed the car self test function that was built into the menu's.
At the time Ford dealers were charging to have 3.10 installed.
You used to be able to download the latest version from the Ford website but they stopped doing that with version 3.08.
Might you still have the 3.10 download site? I'm stuck on 3.6 and am most annoyed at not being able to set the clock via GPS.
Thanks.

The vehicle does include a GPS receiver .... It's also able to be used to sync the clock and do auto timezone adjustment if you have that enabled.
I would love to know how to "sync the clock" on my 2013 SEL.

... rear proximity sensors stopped working (i.e. not beeping anymore when getting close to an obstacle).
On my 2013 SEL, that happened when the 12V battery needed to be replaced.

My apology; I'm wrong on both counts. The procedure is not in the owners manual and an OBD device along with forscan is needed to reset the 12V battery monitor.

Remember to reset the battery age monitor after replacing the 12V battery. Charging scheme depends on knowing how old the battery is.

Not to worry. The car will operate in normal hybrid mode.
