  1. For me, doing 15-20mpg better than my previous vehicle is a huge personal victory. That, and because I don't burn any extra fuel while being stopped in traffic makes me happier for some weird reason. So far, I'm averaging 45.9 mpg for my weekly commuting. Not sure I'll be able to do much better, but we'll see. Greg
  2. new 2018 titanium. Compared to our 2017, I'm noticing more general interior "ambient" noise, as in general "humming" and even wind noise at highway speeds (best description may be similar to common airplane cabin noise at altitude). Car has michelin energy tires which may be contributing. There's also a rear external humming noise which sounds like either wheel bearing(s) or tire slap noise. Compared to our 2017 which is much quieter, I'd swear ford has seemingly decreased the material-quality used for this last model year (or I'm simply delusional). I've actually ordered some sound deadening mats to lay across the rear of the cabin to see if that will help absorb interior noise. Anyone else have 2018 vs earlier model comparison to share? Thanks! Greg
  3. I still have those on my minivan. They're average all around tires (decent wear and mileage, but not "wow"). While our van recommends 35-38 psi, I pump it around 44 psi year-round. Greg
  4. Better though is that on Amazon, it says the 0w20 "does not fit your cmax..." Interesting, although it does. Greg
  5. Interesting that it wouldn't "populate" it when only searching on 0w20...but would readily link to 5w20 (which used to be the cmax standard). Greg
  6. Where can 0w20 motorcraft oil be purchased? I remember seeing it available ~ 1 year ago, but now even on amazon and online, only 5w20 is available. Interesting 0w20 is so rare since the cmax manual recommends it specifically. I'm ok using full sythetic brands, but prefer to try motorcraft's blend (if it's even available!). Thanks, Greg
  7. Not the information I was provided, but happy to be wrong about that! Thanks! Greg
  8. The hybrid components are 8/100,000 but the normal drivetrain (e.g., CVT) is only 5/60,000. I'd still ask FORD and/or your dealer for assistance. Doesn't always work, but worth the asking. Greg

    coolant

Added a couple ounces of distilled water to bring both coolant levels to max and ordered ford prediluted coolant to have on hand should more be needed. Time will tell... Greg
  10. Two cmax household now. I've noticed the coolant reservoirs (both the engine and the inverter controller coolant reservoirs) seem to "lose" coolant slowly (the inverter moreso since it seems to have a "pinhole" in the center cap). How often are people having to add coolant to theirs??? Weird to me that Ford says if at the line for MIN or below, top off coolant... Is coolant consumption that common for the cmaxes in general??? Thanks! Greg

    Second C max

Added our second titanium before all the 2018s are gone. While I'm still not fond or Ford's general fit and finish build quality for the cmax, I do like the way the cmax drives and feels, so hoping it'll serve us well for at least 5 years! Greg
