Same here. I tired of you liftgate is ajar message. Have to slam it to make it go away. Door chime works fine. chimes at me if the door isn't closed and blows the horn if I get out and shut the door with the car on. FIX MY LIFTGATE.
Yes, that's right. I had to pull over so many times due to the open liftgate. This one is a real joke and a real deal at the same time.
Strangely I had the "similar" problem like 9 years ago back in Europe when I drove the 1.6 TDCi C-Max. The liftgate was opening itself on random occasions.
But now it is about a "slam-me-hard" issue.
This happens even if you let the power liftgate close it?
Edit* Saw you both had the SEL but forgot all SEL's don't have power liftgate.
Next question which should have been first. Do you have the power liftgate?

I prefer the first. Not sure on the centerbore. I would wait on Frank for that.

Hi Folks, Question. I want to replace my factory rims, with rims that measure either:
17 x 7.5, +40mm, 5 x 108, center bore 65.1mm
17 x 7.5, +45mm, 5 x 108, center bore 72.6mm
Will either or both of these work? Does anyone know?
I plugged it in and it looks like your good.
First one will stick out about .6" more and second about .4" due to the offset.
What rims are you looking at?

Shows up on mine.

Fits like it was made for it. They use the same laser scanning.
Link with pictures from above.

I see a dramatic difference in mpg using ethanol free. On tank of normal gas I am lucky to ever break 44.5 mpg. Once I am near fumes I refill with ethanol free and I am consistently between 47.5 and 52 mpg. I have gone back and forth to make sure its not a fluke. :D
I wish we could get ethanol free around here. :banghead:

The DigitalFit floor mats cover the entire floor including the dead pedal. Pricy but worth it, fit perfectly
Are you talking about the WeatherTech or an entirely different kind?

Anyone in Texas get a check yet?

What do these cost?

This is new to me, I would expect the C-Max's drag to be heavily hindering mileage at this speed. I will give 75 a try on my next road trip but so far from my previous trips anything above 66-68MPH drops mileage considerably.
Same here.

Mine are like this as well. I was told is was from stamping during the manufacturing process. Looked around and saw a lot of brand new F-150s like this. I chalk it up to the poor quality control/design of Ford.
-
I always thought that Ford thought it was a good idea to discharge the batteries before re-loading them again. Truthfully, though, I have no idea why.
Maybe someone doing that twitter thing can ask them, or is that over already?

For me, when I leave home I start out on a flat, 25mph street for a bit. There's plenty of ICE HP to handle it + charge the batt. ... so the reason is the computer is programmed not to charge the batt. when cold because the charging process won't work properly at low temp?
I don't no why it does this, but someone on this forum told me how to prevent it. Start out in low for a few seconds when first taking off. It will switch to charge and you can put it back in drive.

What's with the slow motion mail out. Maybe they are trying to keep the C-Max mail room in EV and out of ICE.
:lol2:

Along with all the emissions we might be breathing from those vents in the back of the car for the Battery Pack for cooling ;)
I thought the batteries were sealed in some kind of metal enclosure? At least I'm hoping they are!

Got my car back and everyting works as before. Didn't even have to pair it again.
-
Anyone paired their phone with the new update? My car is at the dealership and I haven't had a chance yet. Just wanted to see if everyting was working as usual.

FTFY ;)
Fuelly is currently at 40.6 and my best guess is it will level off around the 41-ish range after all the summer/warm weather tanks stop contributing in the upcoming weeks. Since the new EPA combined is 43mpg, that will be in line with other hybrids on fuelly that typically register 1-2mpg below their respective EPA combined numbers.
I personally think the refund amount is too low based on 100,000 miles (warranty) and $4 gallon fuel and should be in the $750-1,000 range (upper limit for CARB states with 150,000 mile warranty).
Plus the the big hit we just took on trade in value.

I must be a little dyslexic because the title of this thread cracks me up every time I see it!

Mine just arrived 15 minutes ago via Fed-Ex. Came with a letter of explanation. Now they claim 45 city 40 hwy 43 overall. That explains my so-so mileage for my Las Vegas trip last week. Also explains the GREAT mileage I am getting in town.
Did you have to sign for it? Does it say you are agreeing to anything by cashing the check?
-
I agree with ScubaDadMiami at least Ford is fessing up to their mistake, I doubt I could say the same for GM
I don't think they wanted to, at least not until the EPA got involved.
Has anyone received a letter about the check?

Installed some rain vents / guards, or whatever you call them. Having the one touch down windows sure doesn't work very well when you're trying to lower them for these tho. LOL
Looks good! Anyone know if you can disable the one touch down feature?

I won't be in any hurry for this fix. I'll just wait until something else comes along and take it in then. Two birds and all that.
