I hate to repeat myself, but Grill Covers make a big difference during the winter. If you had a ScanGauge you would be amazed at the difference. Even with the Grill Covers on last nite outside temp 43degrees it took 12mi at 50-55mph to get to 200degrees coolant temp. Without Grill Cover it probably wouldn't have made it to 160degrees. This morning it was 33degrees outside and garage temp was 63degrees and still only got to 147degrees with no heater on my 2.4mi. drive to work. It is such a simple thing to do, I don't know why everyone hasn't done it. :)

What's the break even point mileage wise for your grill covers?

This change was probably the biggest part of the update. :drop:

Sweet! :salute:

Yeah, the whole reason I turned off the ECO is because I hate the speed fluctuations. Seems like if I set it at 77, it varies between 75 and 79. But I don't want to go 79, I want to go 77. With ECO off, I believe it behaves the same.
Does it engine brake when you are going down a steep incline with eco cruise off? I have noticed up to 10mph over what the eco cruise is set at going down hill.

Carpe,
Did you make this image, and if you did could make one with the an iOS logo. I think this image is tremendous! Thanks in advance if you can do it.
Peace,

It's possible, but I don't what the conversion would cost.
The trans is covered under the 8/100K warranty or at least by the 3/50 power train coverage.
For coverage beyond that point, it would be cheaper to by the Ford ESP warranty.
I thought it was 3/36, did they change it?

I've always had to hold the button for a couple of seconds. Never worked with just one push.

Savings account.

With my last car, letting up on the accelerator provided a noticeable degree of immediate engine braking. It seems to me that the CMax maintains its speed much more - coasting instead of slowing to the degree I expect.
This is probably what I'm getting at. More like maintaing the speed you got up to vs the engine braking you are talking about. It's just kinda weird feeling.

When I floor the gas to get around a vehicle or to merge into traffic it seems to want to keep accelerating when I let of the pedal. I have to hit the brake to slow it down. It doesn't feel like most cars Ive driven where there is instant loss of power when letting off the gas. I hope this makes sense. Anyone else notice this?

That makes sense. As long as I paid more than $4007 in Federal taxes I get they money back. Thanks.
-
It's a credit to your Federal income taxes in the year you buy the car. Just be sure to have enough tax liability for the full credit as there's no carry-over provision. Some states have credits too.
I have to take the standard deduction and get a small refund every year, so I guess I'm out of luck.

How does the tax credit work?

I read somewhere that switching from 5W-20 to 0W-20 gives roughly a 1-2% FE improvement in colder temperatures. I wish I knew where I read that though.
Maybe you got it from the Mobil 1 website?
-
I plan to go with 0W-20 and change every year or 10K miles. I'm pretty sure you can only get it in synthetic. I also believe that is what Ford is going to go with for 2014.

Hmm. I assume PA uses the electric motor for propulsion since it would be very easy for the computer to modulate. Will PA still work if the HV battery is empty and thus the ICE is running?
I don't think it's possible to go in reverse under ice power.

Just a thought. Are all your sensors clean?

I just ordered mine from Amazon.com. This is how they are listed: Weathertech 454591 Front Floor Liner for 2013 Ford C-Max/2013 Ford Escape, Tan. I was a little concerned that they won't fit but I can always send them back. I read in another post that the Focus floor mats are different than the C-Max. I should get mine next week some time.
You're good. The Husky rep told me the C-Max and Escape had identical floor pans. The mats I received had "Escape" on the box and they fit perfect.

Now my ETIS page says:
13C07 - RECONFIGURE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) MODULE
So does mine, but the door chime thing is gone. Maybe they rolled some other stuff into one recall?

Just got mine. Texas, K.

I have all the windows tinted. They shop never questioned it and put their sticker on my drivers side window.

Not that I have been able to figure out. Wish it was.
