Got the Fusion the other day...it was ordered at the same time I bought the C-Max. Not bad....only took 4 weeks special order.

I agree

As I've said...I am getting 47+. I did change my driving habits drastically. Coming out of a muscle car, it was very hard for me to do, but I did it. Even on the highway, I don't take it over the 62mph so the EV mode will kick in whenever it can. I just take my time..stay in the right lane mostly except to pass. On secondary roads I feather the gas pedal a lot, so the EV mode runs as much as possible. When I need to accelerate I do....I punch it, and then when I get up to the speed I need, I back off the gas until EV kicks in, and cruise in EV mode from there. So I don't understand why some of you are getting such poor milage, but I doubt very much that it has anything to do with a change at the factory. I believe its just poor driving habits. Please don't get offended, its just my opinion.

Green Car Reports C-Max not living up to EPA figures
salprint replied to Laurel's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Like others have said...you need to change your driving technique. I have been averaging 47+ in over 1500 miles. So the vehicle can live up to those specs....its according to whos driving it and how they are driving it. -
My milage is 47+. I have over 1500 miles on it now.
-
I also do that method...and my 30 mile trip to work everyday has been averaging over the 47 mpg that the car is rated at.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with car CT. You may have bought a lemon....I've had mine for 3.5 weeks now and have not had one bit of trouble. I hope they can figure it out for you. If not....maybe you can demand a new car. In NY we have Lemon laws. Hope you have them where you live.

I have the SE Bob...with MFT and all the stuff you mentioned. Enjoy it!! I love mine!
-
The dealer told me about this when I picked up the car, but I didn't think mine had it. I have navigation, but I thought the EV+ was limited to the C-Max Energi.
-
I love the MFT. I don't know why every review I read says its too complicated or doesn't work well. I have had no problems and I don't see where it is complicated at all. I love all the features...and using it (to me) is very easy. There are a couple of features on the radio that I really like. If you are listening to a station and you want to hear a song again, you can actually go back and listen to it again. And I like that you can set alerts for a band that you may like, and anytime that band is played on any station it will alert you and ask if you want to tune to that station. Some amazing stuff....to me....the more toys the better.

I thought about it...but it does have an 8 yr warranty on it. That kinda made me feel better...I just hope I read the warranty right.

I went to look at a 2012 Fusion or Taurus when I saw one sitting on the dealer lot and fell in love with it.

Saw two on the road, NW 'burbs of Chicago

Mine is the only one I've seen on the road so far. -
Snow here also in NY. My SE handled great. Its a heavy car, and it has a "heavy" feel in the snow. I had to pull into a parking lot that wasn't plowed, going uphill, and it did fine....climbed right up the hill without any kind of slipping or swaying.

And the door handles which change color when you open and close the door.

Yes...I wondered the same thing

CMax gadgets overwhelming?
salprint replied to RachelnLa's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I'm 60 years old, and I love all the gadgets and technology. I can't get enough of it. To me its what makes the car interesting to drive. I love playing with the screens and finding out new stuff that it does. For instance, yesterday I learned that if I'm listening to the radio, as long as I don't change the channel, I can actually go back and play a song over again. I think it keeps up to an hour of programs in que, again...as long as the channel isn't changed. After having Mustangs, and Camaros, I thought this car would be boring, but with all the technology, I look forward to driving it every day. -
I bought with xplan partner....got 2500 off sticker on the C-Max and almost 3000 off on Fusion SE hybrid

Locking Gas Cap?
salprint replied to salprint's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Thank you. -
I was reading the owners manual to see if there is a way to lock or to purchase a way to lock the gas cap system. Can't find anything on it. I'd like to have the ability to lock it, especially here on Long Island where there are lines at gas stations about 1mile or more long. Seems to me they could have at least put a release handle in the vehicle somewhere to unlock to door.

My dealer had no clue about the TMP....in fact, they didn't even know where it was in the car. They said "they sent an email to Ford to tell them where it was located on the car." What I did was a huge unusual step.....I actually opened the owners manual and looked it up!! And guess what....it tells you exactly where it is and how to use it. Now I wonder why the dealer couldn't do that??? Anyway...haven't tried it...hope I never have to.
