  1. I'm down in West Palm Beach for work this week, and luckily my rental was with Budget. As I pulled in on the shuttle bus, I noticed a white C-MAX Hybrid in the lot, so when I got to the counter, I asked if they had any available to rent. Luckily, they had one - an Ingot Silver Metallicx 2013 C-MAX Hybrid SEL! The best part is, this is pretty much exactly how I'd order this car! (It's a 302A Equipment Group.) It also has the moonroof (which I'm not getting), and DRLs (fleet-only order, I guess for rental agencies!). Sadly, Budget removed the navigation SD card from the center console, so Nav doesn't work, but MyFord Touch is awesome, and the phone integration (I have a Verizon Galaxy Note II) is flawless! I have no complaints with the speed, responsiveness, and accuracy of the touchscreen or voice commands. Best extended test drive EVER! I will check in the back for the manual tomorrow to see if they still left the SD card in the car - I'm hopeful! I'll post more detailed impressions later, but my first drive (from the airport to the hotel) was incredible - what a fun car to drive! It's solid, with a nice low center of gravity that allows for, shall we say, spirited turns! :shift: Now I'm going to want one even sooner. What a conundrum!

    2013 C-MAX Rental

My silver 2013 C-MAX Hybrid SEL rental from Budget in West Palm Beach, FL.
  3. So...with the Job 1 for the 2014 pushed back to December at the earliest, I'm reconsidering waiting for a 2014 and putting in an order for a 2013 in June or July. I think I'll go with Sterling Grey exterior with the Medium Light Stone interior. Not sure they'll add any features I'd be missing, and even if they replace the SEL with a Titanium, it's more a name change than anything else (as evidenced by the SEL-to-Titanium change on the 2014 Escape). Decisions, decisions! :)
  4. I'm still a few months away from ordering my car, but your excellent reviews and detailed pictures are tiding me over! :) I've been out to the Ridgecrest and Oxnard areas before, and I could easily live anywhere in that part of the country - just not in LA proper, too crowded.
  5. That's the thread I was originally referring to! :) I like the thought of a Titanium instead of SEL (really want cooled seats, but not sure that'll ever be included), and the thought of a more efficient engine is appealing...but like I said, I'm impatient! My last Focus payment is September 15, and I want my first C-MAX payment to be October 15! :hysterical:
  6. Hello, all... I read on Blue Oval Forums that the Job 1 date for the 2014 C-MAX Hybrid, originally scheduled for July 2013, has been pushed back to December 2013, per the latest fleet guide. Does anyone have any confirmation of this? Anyone know why? I wanted to order in August for an October delivery, and I was hoping for new color choices and perhaps a Titanium model...but now apparently I'll have to wait another few months. The suspense is killing me! :) Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
  7. Thanks for the welcome, all! I keep hearing how a lighter interior makes the space seem larger. Is the Stone more tan or gray? I can never tell from pictures...and I'm color-blind, so even in person it's hard to tell! We'll have two beagles in the car a lot, so with the tri-color fur (black/brown/white) it'll show up on any color, regardless! I was tempted by the glass roof, but it's expensive, doesn't open, and doesn't appear to benefit the front passengers at all. So many decisions left to make! I'll be combing the local lots to check out the color combos in person before I place my order.
  8. Oh, and I've already got her name picked out: Maxine! And this will be the first song played through her sound system when I pick her up: http://youtu.be/cRfe9qslTdo
  9. Hello, all! I haven't ordered my C-Max Hybrid yet, but I'm counting down the days until we finally can! We (my wife and I) are an all-Ford family, with 3 cars between the 2 of us: my daily driver is a 2010 Focus SE with 5-speed, my wife's DD is a 2011 F-150 SCrew with EcoBoost, and my fun car is a 2007 Shelby GT500. With my wife now working closer to home, and most of it on a 5-mile zip to the park and ride, it's time to save the F-150 from those short trips, and allow her to get into a stick-shift car again. I, on the other hand, have a traffic-laden route to work, with multiple back-road options, but no charging stations at work. We also want a vehicle we can comfortably carry our 2 (soon to be 3) beagles in. So...my only choice is the C-Max Hybrid! I'm sold on the SEL (I want leather and navigation/MyFord Touch), but I'm still not sure about colors. I like Ruby Red with the Stone interior...but I also like Sterling Grey with the Black interior. I would prefer a dark blue (like Deep Impact), the Blue Candy is too light and Ice Storm is WAY too light. I'm definitely going with the 302A package -- don't necessarily need the hands-free tailgate (though it is a neat feature!), but the rear-view camera is mandatory. I'm also hoping for cooled seats -- my wife is always cold, but I'm always hot. So I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the 2014 order guide, so I can see what will be changing in way of options and colors. Our Focus is paid off in September, so I'm shooting for a July-ish order submittal, with a September/October delivery. I CAN'T WAIT!
