Al Mar
Car is in storage state,, not used in a year, and I have access to the driver door with the key. I need to open the lift gate to access battery location. Need help
Bill-N
Unfortunately the lift gate latch is electrically operated, and, to my knowledge, there's no (easy) way to open it from inside. Best bet is to use jumper cables to provide power. Cheers. fbov, cr08 and IFHP
fbov
Yep; jump the car and you should be able to open the lift gate using the other car's 12v. BobRay and cr08
BobRay
I used a small booster battery on the jumper posts under the hood to jump the car and to get the lift gate to operate. fbov and cr08

homestead
Another tip when replacing the 12V battery in rear of the car hook up jumper cables & 12V power source under the hood and you won't lose any programming in the car.
