MyMax4242
Took my Max in for recalls to improve main screen data (temp on 8" screen) and improved phone audio and to make the lift gate more sensitive to smaller feet. All good ideas and looks like Ford is listening to customer suggestions. Well they broke it and now the center screen is blank and there's no audio. Parts are on order. You might want to wait a month or so to schedule for this recall so Ford can fix it.
CassidyB
It looks like success with the upgrade is varying from dealer to dealer.. I ran into my service manager this morning and he mentioned the update, which I already knew about. So far my local dealer hasn't experienced any problems.. Next week I should hit 10K miles and plan to get the update during my 10K service..
Laurel
Our MFT works very well so we will wait until October to go for the upgrades. October is when our C-Max is due for her second servicing. Thanks for posting your experience MyMax4242. I hope they get the parts soon.
asb
Make sure your dealer has a mechanic who is certified in hybrid technology. My dealer only has one guy certified. I hope the parts are in soon.

theblackcmax
Might be the wrong forum for this one? :/
RachelnLa
If they sell the car they have to have a hybrid tech.
NCost
Our problem is our local Ford dealership sells them, but they own other dealerships and it's their other ones that have the tech. So when we need service we have to take it there and they don't do loaners and want to charge us $25/day for a rental. Screw that. I schedule a test drive and tell them I'll return it when they're done w/ my service work. They don't like me much. Took them 6 hours to install the latest synch update on ours. New patch coming in August as well...
Noah Harbinger
I'm glad mine came with 3.5.1 installed at the factory... Although ironically the worst problem it's had was when I first bought it and the voice control was wedged. It's funny how you don't need an appointment to get them to look at something when you haven't paid for the car yet ;) I've seen rumors on http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/ that 3.6 is around the corner…. ScubaDadMiami
Just to add to the rumors, I had my Synch Specialist appointment today. He said that they will likely have an update by about October. I would imagine that this is the type of person that would be considered to be in the know about these kinds of things, since that is all he does all day. They must be selling a lot of these units, as he showed me his calendar for the month, and it looked like he had six appointments a day, six days a week.
