MtnMarty
When you start up from WITHIN the EV+ area, EV+ will not engage. I just stopped at a store about 1/3 mile from my home and upon restarting, no EV+. Same situation when you start up in your own garage or driveway...no EV+. But if you drive into the EV+ range on your way home, it works.
SnitGTS
On my commute to work I take a 'V' shape route to get out to a local highway, my apartment is at one end of the V and I make a sharp left turn on another road that is almost parallel to my street. I must leave the EV+ area and come back into it because I get an EV+ on my way to work almost every day. On my way home, EV+ ends up turning on about 0.7 miles from when I stop (the length of the V), luckily the first leg is mostly flat and the second is a slight downhill so I actually end up with a good amount of battery left at the end of my trip despite the length of time I'm in EV+. PWBarrett
It seems that I have to go a certain distance past the EV+ area to get it to re-engage.When I drive to the nearest supermarket and park, that's about a mile, which is outside the EV+ range. Coming back from there, I never get EV+.
salsaguy
You can setup your ev+ locations by turning the car on and off 11 times while at the location you want to set (home / work). This speeds up the process instead of having to wait for it to kick in itself.
JulieB
We were only getting EV+ when we approached the house from one of two directions. I'll give this update some time and see what happens. Got the car back on the 27th, was back on the road the 28th, and last week was also an anomaly for us on the driving front. Soon as I get back into my regular driving habits, it'll be interesting to see how EV+ behaves.
JohnnOhio
The way I under it. EV+ engages while traveling into a recognized area. HOME WORK STORE ect... about 1/4 mile out. It turns on to let you get a little extra out of the battery to get you there. It doesn't turn on when your there and leaving the area. Adair
I find it hilarious that my C-MAX considers my dealership as frequently traveled enough to warrant EV+ designation! :lol2: (Thanks Robert Lane for the new Emotis!)

Laurel
Melty and non-SYNCy Laurel, sorry to say. Waiting for a call to see what's next. There must be some insulation covering the computer system that has been left out of your car. How is that for a non scientific idea? How is that for a non scientific idea?Hey Laurel! They haven't come up with anything better yet, so I'll go with that! In fact, I'll even suggest it when/if they call me back. Sorry, losing my sense of humor about this now.

GaryM
My C-Max has started going into EV+ near my home, but it is different depending on what direction I come from. It also will not go into EV+ unless I start from far enough away. I go to the Vons store down the street and it will not go EV+ on the way back home, even though the point it comes on is between the store and my home. It has not added my office yet, but it must be close, I think it said 11 visits? I got stuck on Jury Duty, so I have not been in my office most of this week when it started seeing my home. I have mixed feelings about EV+ right now. When I really use it on the way home and pull the HV Batt down to under 1/4 inch of the batt bar, it can barely get out of my driveway before it has to fire the ICE up. Without using the EV+ I can get down the 2 blocks and not fire the ICE until I have to merge into traffic on the main street. For short trips it seems to be hurting overall. On longer drives, not as much of a difference, hard to tell until I get more miles on it.
salsaguy
Gary, you can speed up adding the EV+ location (your office) to the car by turning it on/off 11 times while at the location so you don't have to wait to drive there and back on different days.
