  1. Yep. I plan on getting the next inspection in November.
  2. Experiencing a similar issue here. The dealer says there are four codes that won't clear. Our ODBC2 reader shows only one. They gave me the car to drive for a while, and I've been driving in a variety of traffic conditions, trying to run the ICE as much as possible. Put over 250 miles on the car and still the codes haven't cleared. My service advisor told me this morning they're going to contact Ford and see if there's something else they can do. So I'm driving around with an expired inspection sticker. If Ford can't figure out anything today, I'm going to apply for a waiver so I won't have to pay a fine.
  3. No signature? That's not good. We've had stuff swiped from our porch before.
  4. A couple of months ago a friend got her new (to her) Lexus backed into in a parking lot. The CCTV at the business picked up the accident. About the same time I was in a parking lot (in my C-Max), getting ready to leave, and I heard a BANG. The guy next to me had opened his door right into mine. Oddly enough, he hit the handle and didn't do any damage. It was just really loud. The guy just started his car, waved, and drove off. I muttered several choice words not fit for repeating in this venue.
  5. You might ask the city (or whoever owns the park) if they have a CCTV camera or two covering the lot. Can't hurt.
  6. I got a Kia Soul. You've seen the ads with the hamsters? That's what's under the hood. But hey, it got me home and back down to the Houston area to pick up my car when it was ready.
  7. Ha! The big difference between Man U and the Cowboys is that Man U can win titles.
  8. Took our car in on Monday for the headliner and newest software update fixes. They swore it would be ready at the end of the day, so I figured I wouldn't ask for a car. Son is home from college and I can bum a ride off of him. It was ready yesterday. The only reason I'm not fuming over this is that I ended up with an eye infection and can't drive anyway. Husband and son picked the car up yesterday, took it out on the freeway, and got over 70MPH in EV mode. Cool. When the C-Max broke down earlier this summer 300+ miles from home, the local dealer did not hesitate to offer me a rental. they said it was covered under warranty. So perhaps an emergency repair is a different situation than a recall?

  11. Took my driving text in a 1967 Plymouth Fury station wagon. Parallel parking was an adventure. In college I had a Volvo 544 and a Volvo station wagon. My brother had a Volvo P1800. Sweet car, until he totaled it.
  12. Hey, life's a beach. And then you dive. ;-)
  13. I have a Galaxy Nexus (a phone of the purest Google), and it will make and receive calls, do Caller ID, stream media, but will not do text messages. That's okay, as I don't do a lot of text messaging. Son has a G4, and it will do text messaging. I've only had one issue, and it's not Sync-related. After Sprint pushed an update several months ago, the name of the phone got changed. Of course, I didn't realize that immediately. I could sync up the phone, but after I turned off the car, it would lose sync. We chaged the phone name in Bluetooth Settings back to what it had been, and everything worked just fine. I mention that in case anyone else runs into problems after their phone gets an update.
  14. We were only getting EV+ when we approached the house from one of two directions. I'll give this update some time and see what happens. Got the car back on the 27th, was back on the road the 28th, and last week was also an anomaly for us on the driving front. Soon as I get back into my regular driving habits, it'll be interesting to see how EV+ behaves.
  15. pwbarrett said he found the calibration fix in one of the threads and applied it, and now the touchscreen is working properly. I'm going to let the service guy at the dealer I went to know. I think Thursday may have been his day off as I dealt with someone else.
  16. Got the car back today. No charge. The car no longer steers like a cow. ;-) While they had it in the shop they offered to update to MFT 3.5.1. The touchscreen is totally messed up. While the displays are correct, the touch area is upside-down and backwards from what it should be. Made pairing my phone a real adventure. I've documented this in the 3.5.1 thread.
  17. Got my 3.51 update today. My car was at a dealer in Conroe for a week because the power steering died. They offered to do the update at the same time. Why not, I thought? They'd probably be waiting on parts. The touchscreen is totally messed up. The displays are correct, but the touch areas are upside-down and backwards in relation to the screen. Press the "information" area and it brings up "entertainment." I don't think anyone even tested it. Sigh.
  18. The dealer says it should be ready sometime today.I do hope to get the car back. This hamster-powered rental is giving me fits.
  19. Gee, this happened near Houston for me, too. I was going down I-45 Friday and got the same set of errors described in the original post. Fortunately, we were able to pull off in The Woodlands and found a safe, cool place to wait while the roadside assistance folks lost my ticket. Twice. The car should be ready tomorrow, and I'll go down and pick it up on Wednesday. The part was the "steering gear assembly." Sounds expensive, and I'm glad it's under warranty. Ford did cover a rental, though it was a very basic car and it was a squeeze getting three people and all of our luggage inside. I think the car is powered by a pair of hamsters. Two, you say? I think only one hamster might be against animal cruelty laws. ;-) The dealer in Conroe has been great so far. I finally called them after over an hour to expedite the ticket. Roadside assistance took all of my info, found my location via my phone GPS, and said they'd call back or send me a text in 10 minutes or so. Nothing. So I waited almost an hour (it was Friday afternoon and I expected things would be busy) and called back. The automated system picked up on my number and asked me if I wanted to restart the ticket that was on hold. Whisky Tango Foxtrot? Well, YES. The automated system said someone would call or text me in ten minutes. Nothing. So I called the local Ford dealer. One of my passengers was disabled, and we really needed to get back on the road. Someone gave the tow truck driver the wrong address, but fortunately it was within walking distance, so I walked over and directed the driver to the car. Once I got to the dealer, they got me in a rental car quickly and got me back on the road so I could go back and get my passengers and continue with our trip. I have another trip this weekend. Nervous? Yes. First time? Oh, I've been nervous lots of times. ;-)
  20. I've had 90+ MPG short trips. The car was mostly in EV mode.
  21. We bought a $10 mat at Home Depot and cut it to fit. It works fine. And hey, $10.
