nsteblay
Has anyone experienced the plastic trim on the internal of the C-Max warping and coming loose. I have several areas in the car where the plastic is pulling away from the doors, car pillars, and overhead panel. Its weird that it is happening in so many spots and all at the same time. I'll take some pictures and post tomorrow.
kc1174
Has anyone experienced the plastic trim on the internal of the C-Max warping and coming loose. I have several areas in the car where the plastic is pulling away from the doors, car pillars, and overhead panel. Its weird that it is happening in so many spots and all at the same time. I'll take some pictures and post tomorrow. I had some issues early on back in March - black trim behind the rear seats just below the small windows popped out. Best advice is a visit to the dealer if possible. My overhead panels (both) do appear to be maybe warping with the squeaks coming from them, but a can of silicone lubricant and a microfiber cloth took care of the noise (and on the noisy door panels - especially the door handles where they meet the surrounding panels). Let us know how you get on.
asb
This is now happening to me as well. It's in the front area of the door windows on the front doors (driver and passenger). Driver side is worse. There are two pieces that meet, and in my car they askew.
Edsel
kc1174, I think I'm going to do this. What brand of spray did you use? I have some, but it really smells and would like to try some different stuff. I'm tired of my car sounding like an old leather saddle. kc1174
kc1174, I think I'm going to do this. What brand of spray did you use? I have some, but it really smells and would like to try some different stuff. I'm tired of my car sounding like an old leather saddle. Here's what I ordered - still working well but have to do it maybe once a month or so. I find spraying it on a microfiber towel works and then rub it between the parts until the creaks and squeaks stop. The straw thing on this is kind of useless but I still kept it. Hope this helps! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MD7I8A?ie=UTF8&at=&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links P.s. it does smell a bit but it goes away very quickly. xanotos
I also just noticed this weekend the trim around the small view window on the front passenger side is really loose! Never noticed it.I guess it's time to take it in and get the overhead lining snapped back together. Damn squeak is driving me nuts!!!
bigalpha
I had a few interior panels come loose somehow and I had the dealer reseat them. The interior of my car groans and squeaks non-stop.
mtb9153
If I have anything making noise to my left side I haven't noticed it. That's the nice thing about being deaf in that ear. and the right side is slowing fading with age. lanthony2020
Since new, the headliner fabric slips out on drivers side a-pillar/top of window. Have to push it back in with finger quite often. Also, the panel left of steering whell and below dash was warped and did not fit right from the get go. Still looks cheap and non-fitment is evident.
