Energis' at Dealer

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

The air cooled battery pack in my July 120 degree garage kept me away more than the loss of cargo area. Definately would like to hear from owners in the South on how their Energis are holding up. Maybe Ford has cracked the Thermal code on this one.

There were some at dealers in the Denver area last week, but they are mostly gone now. I agree about the cargo area. I probably would have bought one if they'd been able to make it so the floor would fold flat.

I don't know why Ford  couldn't do something like Tesla and put the batteries in the floor.  Probably because the batteries Ford uses are bigger than the one's Tesla uses.  My guess anyway.

Tesla and the Chevy Volt were built from the ground up with batteries designed into the chassis. The hybrid components were added on to the C-Max design for the North American market.
