Jay
Just bought a 2016 C-Max and we are very excited to own our first hybrid! It's got 96K miles. The car has been well taken care of and we traded in a Chevy Traverse that had served its purpose as a people hauler. Now we want better mileage and this one definitely does that! Thanks! jestevens
Congratulations! Still love my car -- in addition to one of the best MPG for a crossover it's also quiet and while it's certainly not a sportscar the extra torque can be fun too. Jay
Nope, no kids out of the house, yet. Oldest is a senior and youngest is a sophomore. We had the "Big Mobile", AKA Chevy Traverse, because both kids were in marching band. My wife was the band booster president and we used the heck out of the cargo space the Traverse had, hauling all sorts of stuff across the Midwest for band competitions. Well, COVID came along and there's no marching band this year, no competitions, so we decided to stop getting 18 MPG and get our first hybrid. We are working to educate ourselves on how to get the best mileage so any tips or tricks is greatly appreciated! Jay
fbov
Seen Paul's videos yet? Search for ptjones, if he doesn't chime in. Frank 7 hours ago, Jay said: ... Jay
I searched Youtube and found two videos showing shutter temperature test. I hope there's more because my wife and I are all in for getting the most mileage!

Jay
Did a short (25 mile) trip today and worked the gas pedal like PTJones showed and at the end I averaged more than half the miles on electric and got 50mpg! jestevens
16redsel
Hi Jay Good choice! I own a 2016 SEL with about 58000 on the odo. Me and my wife Love the car. They had most of the kinks worked out by the '16 model year. Happy driving and infrequent stops at the pump. BTW I also find that using Cruise a lot does get me in EV mode easier.
