KC! So happy things are working in your fav, moving swiftly and LOVE your attitude. Is there anything you'll get or not get on the new one? Same color? How old was the first one?

Fits well! No sliding around. Hubby bought me a pair just recently. He stopped in at a local store and there they were. Sweet surprise for me. :)

Yes! Thanks. That's a great idea. Well, both the tub and the plastic to line the back. A friend did that on the drivers side. He cut it to fit up high like the pedals and then down under the seat. He put the mats on top of that. No worries. Oh, he did put a towel rolled into a long roll under the seat so if liquid fell on the floor it didn't run under the seat. The towel stopped it. You are so smart! I had a small plastic container that held first aid stuff but never thought of a catch all tub.

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)
RachelnLa replied to catsailor's topic in General Discussion
Yes I would buy it again and again and again. Like you, I love the seating. I am short. I like to ride up high. My legs are short and most seats are too long. My legs bend right at the edge of the seat. Nice. I like the firm seats too. The steering/handling is Wonderful. Hubby commented my Tahoe bounced all over the road. I never realized it until I bought the cmax. Size. I wanted to downsize but didn't want a small car. I did want better gas mileage. My Tahoe got 17 in town and 22 on the hwy. anything better than that was a winner for me. But I really hated giving up my roominess feeling. Don't have to with the cmax. My SIL rode in the back seat and kept commenting how much leg room she had. It's just me so I don't need a huge vehicle. I can zip around town but I still feel like I am in my big Tahoe. Gas. Even if I never saw 47 mpg, (I have seen 48!) getting in the upper 30s and low 40s for such a powerful car with all these gadgets and room and heck, it's just so fun to drive, I would have purchased it. Looks. It looks small when you walk up to it. When you slide in its really big. Getting in and out was another deal breaker for me. I just turn and slide out. No climbing or falling in or out. Options. I feel like I am in a luxury car. I got mine loaded. A splurge for me. I am so happy I did. My husband teases me and says I am a tad obsessed with my car. I agree. But I do love my car. Dad and I talk often about our cars. We end each convo with "I just love my lil car." We test drove lots of cars and the cmax won! -
Perfect music for the CMax and where you driving....
RachelnLa replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Oh yes! Sometimes the music and the quiet ride of my car I forget I need to pay attention to the EV. That's when I know I LOVE my car. That happened on my way to our cabin in the woods with Phill Collins playing on the radio followed by Wham and backstreet boys (don't judge me). I love playing spotify thru the car. Now I must go and google Hawaiian slack guitar music. Always learning something here. -
You really filled it up!

Okay. So the swipe is just to lock the car? Mine only locks. Grabbing the handle unlocks it. Thanks!

Leading the way! What a deal to snag. Glad you are enjoying your car.

Same here. Trying to decide. I have trip 1 for the tank, trip 2 for trips. I figured the average will take forever to go up so why not reset it to see at a glance what my average is now? Problem is, will I regret doing it later on?
-
Hmm. If I swipe my finger nothing happens I remember this happening on some one else's car. It was still in transit mode? How do you correct that?
-
I popped up to the camp (cabin in the woods) to meet hubby for the weekend. Boy, was I surprised to see 48.1 mpg!

It's times like this you wished you had a CMax....

Jus a CMax to Mammoth Mountain and back!
RachelnLa replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
Those pics are amazing. No way I would go down that mountain. Loved the first one with her name in the snow. I just cannot get over how blue the sky is. What? No snow angels?? -
What I missed about my C-MAX this week......
RachelnLa replied to Adair's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Such luv for his baby! My family thinks I am crazy. Park where? No way. Walking won't hurt you. Is. That. A. ... Oh, it's just some dirt... Gosh. If they get any closer my sensors will go off! Do you have to SLAM the door?? We are NOT putting that in the back of my car. (we did. Icechest of boiled crawfish. It was fine) -
I have that color too! Love it.

Aww. That's so true! My dad drove his edge the other day and mom kept asking what he was doing. He was trying to feather the gas pedal, trying to coast and he forgot he needed keys to drive c -

He drives a dodge ram. It's huge. I have to use a step stool to get in or he has to pull up in the driveway where the ground is a little higher. He loves that suicide ball. He has one on the tractor too.

Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?
RachelnLa replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Dman, that's awesome. I went from a Tahoe getting 17 mpg to the cmax and getting anywhere from 39-45 mpg in town. I have doubled my mileage and am leased as punch. My Rainette is much cuter too! Lol -

Mine did this often when I first got it. My husbands phone calling my car or my car calling his cell phone usually triggered this. Since he got a new phone it hasn't happened! I did notice it nice when the system got overloaded. Then I remembered Laurel saying give the car a command and wait. Then the next command and then wait. It works. -
As much time in ev as you can. I set the cruise, once the batts are charged I bump the cruise down to push it into ev. Once ev is used up I bump the cruise up a few. Once the battery is charged I repeat the process I try to use my cruise when Possible. I don't have to concentrate so much on the read out.

Train tracking. I logged calls and then looked up the checkpoints on google. Really interesting! -
