  1. I absolutely love the way my A/C cools down so fast compared to any other gas engine vehicle I have ever owned. I would hate to give that up now that I've had it.

  4. I notice on highway driving at any speed, I usually try to stay just south of 65 mph, the cruise bar is generally going backwards. Does great on "city" driving - stop signs, stop lights, hilly roads...go figure.
  5. Sound did not return when I drove home after work, nor when my husband and I went out to dinner. Guess I will keep listening...thanks for the advice above. I think amoredsaint could be right about the extra weight. :headscratch:
  6. Not to be confused with A/C start up noise. Today, I drove my 3 (male) co-workers to lunch. About a mile down the road a humming sound that I had never noticed before started. As I adjusted my foot on the pedal it did seem to stop. On the way back from the restaurant, about a mile down the road, the sound started again. One of my passengers commented that it sounded like the "drive-train". Adjusted my foot again and it seems to stop, but starts again when I need to accelerate. I am not mechanically inclined in the least, but do you think that this is something to contact the dealer about? The temp is in the mid 90's, It didn't last the entire trip - which was about 5 miles each way.
  7. It wasn't on mine when I first read the post this morning, but now it's there.
  8. I have the SEL 300A package - MFT screen, without Navigation. And I had the update done.
  9. A black C-Max was pulling out of my neighborhood last night as I was turning in - I gave her a big wave..I don't think she understood why I was waving to her. Looked at me like I was nuts. Oh well... :headspin:
  10. My Dodge Coronet had rust holes too on the passenger side..you could look under the floor mat and see the pavement on the road. My mom said she put the hole there by putting on the brakes a lot when I was driving at 16. Though they probably really came from driving on the beach. I used to be a Florida girl.
  11. 7500 - 96% - those sudden stop lights get me every time
  12. That also happened to me - but I noticed it at the dealer and they corrected it in about an hour. Believe me, I let them have it in the survey...the fact that they didn't even check to see if things were working before they give it back to you. And black grease all over the driver's seat where the seat controls are. I was not happy. But, everything working great now. :love_shower: I wonder if they kept mine on the battery charger...I know they kept the power on in the car for over 5 hours based on the data I saw when I got back in the car. Ran my avg mpg for the trip from 45.6 down to 19.
  13. I learned to drive on a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500. Have since learned this may be considered a muscle car of sorts. It was automatic with the gear shift on the floor not on the steering wheel. My mom gave me the car in 1975 for me to have at college and I had it for a few more years. Moved with my husband from Florida to Indiana and that rear wheel drive was horrible in the Indiana snow. Traded it in for $25.00 on a Chevette.
  14. I have an SEL, but when they did my upgrade the temp did not show up on the main screen..I checked and they had it in the "Off" position...Clicked "On" and now the temp shows up.
  15. I checked the specs and the hybrid has 14.0 gal tank. - so yes, it's larger.
  16. I took my CMAX in this morning a 7:30 when the door opened for the upgrade. Said it would take about two hours. My husband took me home. I called them a 1 PM, the guy who was handling my service was still at lunch but would call me back. They called just before 4:00 told me it was ready. Reason it took so long was the Ford server kept crashing. I got to the dealer, got in my car and thought I would pair my phone before I left. I noticed the clock was saying 2:00 AM and the outside temp was 60 degrees - guess what it was really after 4:00 PM and about 90 degrees F. So I tried to re-set the clock, and nothing would come up. Went back in the office told them nothing was working on the touch screen. They said they had this problem yesterday with an upgrade. I left it there..they called my at 5:30 said it was ready. Seems to be okay so far. Though they killed by avg mpg in this tank of gas..was about 41 when I dropped it off this morning, and was 19 when I picked it up, no additional miles on the car so to speak. Hope all will be great. I do love my CMAX!
  17. I actually kind of agree with you...I am experimenting by doing this myself to see if there is a difference.
  18. I have a Blackberry Torch 9810 - no issues with the phone pairing and calls coming in and out. But, I do have a glitch with Text Messages. I used to get a notification that I had a Text Message and I could choose to Listen to it and the Sync voice would read it to me. But, for the last week, I don't get the notification of Text Messages and I've missed a couple of important ones while driving. Not sure what changed.
  19. I, also, really appreciate this forum and all of the input. I don't post a whole lot...but I do read this everyday. Thanks, Jus and Adair for taking on the Admin job. I still love my C-Max, 5300+ miles and 4 months of ownership. :wub2:
  20. It happens to me, too. Will check the Auto Play. Also, I will turn the radio off when before turning off the c-max and when I get back in, and turn on the car - radio starts up. Crazy C-Max.
  21. I was driving home in a steady rain this past Sunday and have the auto wipers set to come on for sensitivity to precipitation and they were going very steadily and continuously. But, no headlights came on...I had to switch to non-auto headlight for the lights to come on.
  22. Yay...I have come very close to the 500 miles, but seems like I get there when I know I need to go quite a distance...I know I'll get there someday, too.
