I know it's been mentioned on here before about how dirty the back of the car seems to get. Has anyone bought the rear mud flaps? I wonder if that would help.

So excited for you Rachel, I absolutely love my C-max. I've noticed that I am driving more miles per week than I did with my Civic - I want to drive it everywhere. And it sounds like the feeling hasn't worn off for those with the "older" C-maxes....LOL

Hi Valkraider - just to let you know that I can see the Sirius Track when I have Sirius selected on the whole MFT screen..I also see it on the right hand side of my instrument panel.

Love the color, also liked the Red - but didn't want to pay extra for it.

My C-MAX is the SEL with Sync/MFT - I did not get Navigation. When I first got the car in January, the Sync was working great. Anyway, I started having issues with the Sync - the dear lady in the computer couldn't find my location. I would also try to make phone calls and it would hang up when the person on the other end answered. People thought I was "butt-dialing" them. Mind you, it was working before. Well, took it to the dealer, they did a master re-set. Still did not work. Finally, the service guy told me to check my phone. I have a Blackberry and I knew it was compatible with Sync. But, the settings were not set up correctly in the BB management screen. Once I set all of those up correctly - working like a charm. So far...anyway. I have seen a lot of posts online where people are having some of these same issues. Please everyone, if you are, please check your phone setup.

On my 2nd week with my new C-Max SEL, and am averaging 38 mpg. Live in Ohio, and it's been seasonable, with frigid air coming in tonight. I used to drive a 2008 Honda Civic, which averaged 30 mpg on my normal driving weeks. And since I went into the dealer looking at the Ford Escape knowing I would lose gas mileage with that vs. my Honda...I am happy with what I'm getting. I know as the weather gets milder the mpg's will most likely go up. I love the height advantage vs. sitting so low in my Honda. I don't hit the parking curbs in the C-max or bottom out in the dips in the roads. It drives like a dream.

Pulled up at stop light last night and a Candy Blue C-MAX SE was in front of me....

We went into the dealership in October looking at Escapes. Saw the C-Max, and really liked it. The salesman didn't seem to know "everything" about it...but was very positive. We went home, did our own research, went back to the dealer, taught him a few things...LOL, and ordered the car. Yes, it took 12 weeks to come in..but it was worth it. And our salesman has become the top C-Max salesman at the dealership...

mtberman, yes I noticed it. Glad I ordered in 2012...and I was able to get the $1000 rebate also.

Took Delivery January 11th - actually delivered to dealer January 9th. Love it!!!! Thought trying to figure it all out will take some time.

RachelnLA, I originally ordered my C-Max on 10/15 and got the VIN# on Dec 7th. That was 7 1/2 weeks. The Window sticker showed up on Dec 21st and shows a build date of January 5th. The dealer called me on Dec 28th to tell me that right now, delivery is scheduled for week of January 14th. If that holds true, that will be 13 weeks.... Anyway, hang in there....

Checked today, and I have a window sticker...looks like build date of Jan 5....

I finally have a Vin#!!!!! Yay!!!!

So excited for you. Would love to just have a VIN # at this point. Sounds like we are in the same area of the state. My dealer says mine is priority 1, but has been that for 3 weeks.

No news for me yet in SW Ohio. It's been over 7 weeks since the order for my C-MAX SEL went in. RachelnLA, you mentioned an allocation issue earlier in the posts. What is that all about? I am wondering, because if it's what I think it is...my dealer has sold 3 C-Max's since they got their first one on the lot in eary October and that may be my problem.

I was told that as well. The problem with my order (as told by my dealer) is that the C-Max also has to go through the "Retail Verification System". In that system my order didn't have a date so it wasn't complete, eventhough the other system showed Unscheduled - Clean. After they talked with their rep, they discovered the problem. I ordered mine at the end of July and still don't have it. (Supposedly I'm should get it sometime this week though.) Thanks, for the info, zhackwyatt.

Still no Vin for me in SW Ohio. Dealer checked the visibility history report and it is still listed as Unscheduled - Clean. It was ordered 4 weeks ago. :-(
