12V Accessory Outlets - does it time-out when engine is off?
LizM replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
Very nice, same color as mine. I also notice that you have temp showing on your MFT screen next to the time...I don't have that. Mine was born in January, must be an upgrade. And I have not tested the 12V staying on, but someone else on another topic may have said it does. -
Sadly I can testify great front and rear crumple zones

Glad everyone is okay...hope they catch the driver. And also hope you can get a new Hippie. Let us know. -
I live in the northern suburbs of Cincinnati and rarely drive on the highway. Although, two weekends ago drove to Northern KY down I-75 - 50 mile trip - avg mpg going down was 44.6 - did not drive over 65 mph - and did not use Cruise at all. On the way back, chose I-71 and actually got 48.6 - less traffic and maintained between 62 and 65 more regularly. Although some people passed me, I was still passing people so don't think I was going to slow. Temp outside was about 74 degrees and even had the A/C on set at 74 degrees. My trips to work are about 16 miles with stop signs, school zones, and traffic lights takes me about a 30-35 minutes. Temp this morning was 47 degrees, it was not raining, but roads were wet from last night's rain. I had the defrost on, set at 73 and wipers were on auto. I got 47.7 mpg.

I have just found a rattle and I haven't discovered yet where it's coming from. I was on the phone on Sync the other day, and the person on the other end said it sounded like a mixer and she wondered where I was. When I speed up, it stops, but it sounds like it's coming from somewhere on the passenger side.

Gorgeous pics, Jus!

John, you just have to remember that our C-Maxes are more "fun" to drive. :happy feet:

I got mine yesterday and did it last night. I was truthful - love my C-Max, fun to drive. But MFT has its issues - clock for sure. I'm sure my lifetime MPG did not look good, it's about 39 mpg. But with the weather warming up, the mpg's are improving every day and I told them that. Wonder how much A/C will effect the mpg?

Congratulations, Scott. I have had mine just over two months and still loving it. You will find many helpful things on this forum. Enjoy your new car!

With what you know, would you buy your C Max today (again)

Yes, yes, yes! -
Most of my driving is suburbia streets with stop lights and stop signs. If the temp is above 40 degrees F on my 16 mile drive one way to and from work I can easily get in the 40 + mpg range and sometimes even 50+. So far lifetime is around 37+. I have just over 3000 miles on my C-Max. On a cold morning drive, it's usually less because of the temperature outside, has been in the 25+ range up to 30+. I'm in Southern Ohio, so I'm sure in Michigan you haven't reached those milder temps yet.

Clock was wrong again this morning, It read 7:22 PM - which was when I got home last night. The date was correct. I thought I would leave it alone and see if it corrects itself during the day today. I saw where some people on here said it did.

Went to the dealer today and got mine...yay... i love this forum and i love my c-max.

Yes, I would love to know if there is a part # - tired of holding onto drinks in the cupholder when I make those crazy turns.
-
Great for you! Not getting those hight mpg's, yet, as it is still very cold here in Ohio. But, the days it gets to the high 30's and into the 40's, I see a huge difference in mpg's. I also love my car!!!!

My EV+ will kick on when I am about three miles from my house - as the car drives, but as the crow flies, less than a mile. I have to go down a main busy street with no turn off to my subdivision until I get another mile or so...the EV+ kicks on and off again, then back on after I turn into the subdivision and am closer to my house.

My husband hasn't driven mine yet, either. He does have a heavy foot..and I wonder if that's what's stopping him. Probably, scared I will get mad when he messes up my avg. mpg.

Welcome...you will love the C-Max. It's a fun car to drive.

SEL 300A, built Jan 4th. 2200+ Miles Clock/date issues. Dealer did master reset on Feb 12th - clock and date reset correctly. Came out this morning, Mar 4th and the clock was wrong said 3:44 PM and it was about 7:00 AM. Date read March 4th. Tried to reset the clock to correct time - now the date says March 3rd. No way to set the date individually. Driving me crazy.

I love my Sterling Grey SEL, but sometimes wish I had gone with the Ruby Red. I have the Stone Interior - but you should be aware that the back cargo area carpet is black (which is nice, doesn't get so dirty) and the dash is black - or you might just say a dark grey. So the stone goes great in all exterior colors.

This has been a great topic. Thanks everyone for posting!!! :)

Turned on the C-Max and had my first Scheduled Update Maintenance message. The funny thing was - at the end it told me my rear-view camera could not be activated, contact the dealer. I don't have a rear-view camera....what's up with that?

Ya know, when I typed the topic, I thought I might get a few remarks.... ;)

You actually bring up a good point. Because when I get home in the late afternoon and my battery is really low...sitting in the garage all night and get up the next morning on these cold, cold winter mornings...the engine is running quite a bit long. Could be just because it's cold, but wonder if it would warm up faster if the battery was more charged? I am new to the hybrid world, for sure.

The only flat backed cars that I've had in the past were the GMC Jimmy, and two Ford Aerostars...I don't remember the back end getting so much dirtier than the rest of the car. Oh, well, I guess I will be washing it off a lot with all of this salt, etc. on the roads. Thanks for your input.
