  1. Try resetting the card. It's in your central console next to the USB ports. If you push on the card it will release. Pull it out and reset it by pushing it back in.
  2. Just happened to me today. Reset my signal and pulled the fuse - worked great! Thanks for the posting.
  3. I had the exact same problem. There are rubber seals on the top of the hatch opening that can come loose and allow rain water to leak through. I brought it in and the dealer resealed them. I haven't had any problems since. That was about 2 years ago now.
  4. I can agree with this. C-Max's sweet spot is commuting. Can't say enough about my 2013.
  5. I'm not 100% sure but I believe why some don't have the upgrade is because they have outstanding recall notices. I would be curious if you have an outstanding recall notice.
  6. I have a 2013 SEL and I can open the locked rear hatch by touching the back hatch handle if my key fob is present. It does not unlock all the doors. I like the feature because I can lock the car when I exit and then open the hatch to get my back pack for work. I would be surprised if Ford changed this but apparently they did.
  7. Yes, A6 is the latest for the C-Max 2015. You can purchase them at http://ford.navigation.com- $149.
  8. I've rode in the Model S P85D - guy I work with has one. Acceleration is not to be believed - seriously. Gas engines and the norm and muscle cars will be a thing of the past in another 10 years.
  9. I answered my own questoin. The MyFord Mobile app only works with the Energi plug-in vehicles.
  10. Ford is being confusing again regarding MyFord Touch, Sync and now MyFord Mobile app. Does a C-Max 2013 with MyFord Touch work with the new MyFord Mobile app? I attempted to download it and register it to my VIN but Ford is saying it doesn't know anything about my car which is registered with MyFord Touch / owner.ford.com. A ford representative can maybe clear up the confusion around all these services and applications. Nick
  11. I had the update and haven't noticed any differences.Your fluctuations in MPG are probably related to something else. My CMax has a 44.2 average so far for the year - 13,200 miles of mostly work commuting (mixed congested freeway and city driving). My velocity is average traffic speed. Jan 39.1 Feb 39.1 Mar 42.7 Apr 48.6 May 48.2 Jun 49.0 Jul 46.9 Temperature and type of trips are the big differentiator. In winter heater causes engine to run more and I lose mileage. In heat of summer air conditioner impacts but not nearly as much as the heater in winter. Pure freeway driving with minimal stop and go reduces mileage significantly, so long trips at consistently higher speeds have an impact. I use the Automatic OBD reader for my gas mileage readout - every trip I take is tracked.
  12. If I remember correctly there were some changes made to the tranmission drive ratios in 2014 that were intended to improve mileage. This may account for some of the improvement. I've also experienced a steady increase in MPG in my 2013 over time. My lifetime has climbed to 41 MPG and this summer I'm averaging just under 50 MPG (use the Automatic OBD gizmo to track all trips). This last year overall average is about 43 MPG. I attribute the increase to my driving style improving. The pulse and glide becomes sub conscious and I think makes a big difference. Interestingly enough my driving has become more aggresive - not just hugging the right lane.
  13. Any rattles I've ever had were internal and my own doing but often sounded like an exterior sound. I've found the cabin to be very quiet and the dash components and general "trim" of the interior solid. 2013 with 50K+.
  14. Glad you're liking your new ride. I'll have mine 3 years this October - will hit about 60K. It's a fantastic car. I haven't any of the major problems reported. My overall lifetime mileage is 41 MPG but am getting about 50 this spring and summer (live in Minnesota). Handles great, decent acceleration, great comfort and headroom, and love the gas mileage. MFT can frustrate on occasion but generally has been stable.
  15. 56. Owning a C-Max should be on everyone's bucket list!
  16. I'm a Honda CR-V and 2013 Ford C-Max owner. I've loved both cars but drive the C-Max the most as I have about 70 miles of commute everyday. I read an article regarding Honda's new HR-V and apparently its the best selling new car release ever - selling like hotcakes. I compared the specs against the C-Max, and frankly, I don't see any advantages to the HR-V. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Honda fan, have had at least one the past 30 years. But when I compare room, mileage, and power I would consider the C-Max a sub-compact SUV that competes with the best of them. The only thing it lacks is 4-wheel drive. Somehow Ford missed the boat on marketing the C-Max. Except for the recalls (I've appreciated Ford's diligence to fix known problems) I really haven't had any significant issues with the car. My lifetime MPG is 41 and this spring I've been getting 50+ MPG. I drive in some pretty nasty traffic and the C-Max hasn't let me down when acceleration is needed. The comfort is outstanding for me, the wife and kids. We love the car. It should be a much better seller. I'm thinking of picking up a used one as they are way under valued.
  17. I've heard the noise occasionally. I've always considered it part of normal acceleration. I do believe you get more sensitive to car noises in the C-Max because it often runs silently.
  18. I've used bluetooth since I got the car - Oct 2012 - with no battery problems. I also hook various devices into the USB port and have left them connected within the car. Never caused a problem. I just got the letter today. Will have it done at the next oil change. According to Automatic (www.automatic.com) my MPG is 48.4 last 30 days - 43.4 MPG since Jan 1st. Car has been awesome.
  19. OK I think I answered my own question. I have a scan gauge plugged into the OBDII port. Not allowed if running the Vehicle Health Report.
  20. I haven't been able to run a vehicle health report for several months. It says that I need over 200 miles on the odometer. There is over 50K on the car. I've tried a full reset of Sync to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this or something similar?
  21. I do think the C-Max's days are numbered. It will be a stepping stone model. I believe that I'll get tremendous value out of the car in its lifetime. Based on original cost, features and operational expenses it has been a great deal. Really the only other option at the time of purchase was the Toyota Prius. The Prius was 3K more for comparable features but didn't have nearly the comfort or power. The 20% gain in MPG doesn't offset the advantages of the C-Max.
  22. October 2012 and no problems beyond MFT (now very good) and some warping trim (replaced by dealer). Been very happy with it. Great commuter car for those that drive in rush hour freeway traffic. Lifetime 41 MPG.
  23. Time has actually gotten wibbly-wobbly since I got the C-Max. Probably related to the fact that the C-Max is bigger on the inside than on the outside - I call it the Tardis effect. I'm not sure how old I am now.
